This thing all things devours,
Birds,beasts,trees,flowers,
Gnaws iron,bites steel,
Grinds hard stones to meal,
Slays kings,ruins town,
And beats high mountain down.

Question
There is a man traveling down a path when he comes to a fork in the road. There is an indiscriminate sign that says "One path to Paradise, one path to torture." Standing next to the sign are two men. The two men look exactly the same and one of them always speaks the truth and the other one always lies. The traveling man can ask one of the men one question. What should he ask to ensure his path to paradise? _________________ Rgds,

He should ask the man who always lies.." Is this the path to paradise?" If he says 'yes' then the traveling man will know that this is the path to torture and he can take the other road. If the man who tells the lies says 'no' than the traveling man will know that is the path to Paradise.

I don't think that's correct, The problem is that the two men look alike and you don't know which tells lies and which tells the truth.
A correct answer is that you ask either of the men: "Which road would the other man tell me to go down to get to paradise?" Then take the opposite of the road they tell you. That would work in either case of asking the Liar or the Honest man.

That is what I get for reading too fast. I missed the two man looking exactly alike part. Thanks loris. Your answer makes sense! This is fun!
