another math riddle:

u write:

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

on the board

when u erased 2 or more digits u'll write it's product on the board

like when u erased 5 & 6 u can write 30 anywhere just position it in the vacant space in the serquence like:

1 2 3 4 30 7 8 9

so if u erase 30 & 4 the outcome will be:

1 2 3 120 7 8 9

in what way u'll erase the digits on the board so that when u look at it u'll only see a single digit only.

yee halucin, u're right. but dat was easy one. also tenakan is right about the numbers - there's an infinite between 2 and 4. i could say there's infinite between all the numbers. but it's some kind of paradox - how to determine, when the quantitave becomes qualitative?.. when the day starts and changes into next one?..

The two men look exactly the same and one of them always speaks the truth and the other one always lies. The traveling man can ask one of the men one question. What should he ask to ensure his path to paradise?

He should ask the man who always lies.." Is this the path to paradise?" If he says 'yes' then the traveling man will know that this is the path to torture and he can take the other road. If the man who tells the lies says 'no' than the traveling man will know that is the path to Paradise.

I don't think that's correct, The problem is that the two men look alike and you don't know which tells lies and which tells the truth.

A correct answer is that you ask either of the men: "Which road would the other man tell me to go down to get to paradise?" Then take the opposite of the road they tell you. That would work in either case of asking the Liar or the Honest man.

That is what I get for reading too fast. I missed the two man looking exactly alike part. Thanks loris. Your answer makes sense! This is fun! Big Grin
