I have never smoked before. Does smokin really relieve your stress?
Accordin to research it adds more stress than relieves.

I was a smoker...bad, bad me..When I was in Univ I used to smoke a lot during reading period near final exam. I was nervous and smoking just released my tension and stress. BUT one day, I chained smoked until I almost finished 12 cigarettes then...all of a sudden I lost my voice for 8 days. I struggled to speak..I did sound like a strangled crow (it taught me right BIG TIME that smoking was BAD). From then on I just hate it.

Sounds as though pretty much almost everyone is a non-smoker in this message board. Is there a "smoking area" here?? 'Cause I'm a smoker.

Nah, on a serious note though. It's good that you guys don't smoke. I started at 12. I'm 22 now.

To the Kids here............... Don't start!

that's rather a young age to start smoking at. I do know that smokers find it very hard to kick the habit, though. a fine example is my brother, who quit smoking for 1 year. After that, he just chanced on a cigarette pack one day, got tempted, and got hooked all over again.

i don't intend to start ... i sure hope i have the determination not to.

Damn, we agree on just about everything now! Most people I know go "Eww...menthol???" hehe Marlboro Menthol Regulars aren't bad....in Japan they don't have Newports so I would smoke those once in a while when I was there. But I really need to quit. This habit is not good, and it's so expensive Beaten Cigs in the U.S. are ridiculously high priced. Mad

They are very cheap. Price varies with brand, but they average around 300 yen per pack. So it's a little less than $3 US.
