Don't know what's the situation in Vista, but I have Toshiba laptop running on XP and there's a program called Toshiba Power Saver in Notification area that manages power consumption. Left click shows several modes - on my laptop all except DVD Playback and Presentation have System standby option enabled. See if you have this program and try to use one of this two modes or create your own download dedicated profile like I did (ex. Monitor Power Off at 1 min, HDD Power Off - never, Sys. standby - disabled and Sys. hibernation - disabled). _________________

Hey Boris, it turns out Vista is very different to XP, so your instructions didn't work. However, they gave my bf the idea for what to do, and he's now fixed this problem for me.
I noticed they had some free prg's for iPod video conversion...

Hey, all...here's an interesting thing I found...I was perusing kloofy and saw that subs for the movie Spider Lilies (starring Rainie Yang...god, she's so cute) were available..I'm thinking "great", now to find the movie itself...so I did the usual search, but no joy via BT..then I thought eMule, but there was nothing there that matched the subtitles...then I noticed someone was sharing the .torrent file that was a match ...d/led that instantly..opened my BT client and
3 hours later I have the movie and the subs...my point is, if youre having a hard time finding a .torrent file for something you want, try eMule to find it _________________

Yup.
eMule is my last resort.
I think you misunderstood me...I didn't find the movie on eMule, I found the .torrent file for it, which led me to trackers I'd never heard of before that had hundreds of seeders and leechers...searching mininova.org, isohunt.com, torrentspy.com and mybittorrent.com gave no results, nothing found... _________________

Ah... I gotcha.
Excellent idea: circumvent the entire eMule interface... I've gotta try that out.

IIRC, you should have kept the other free one the store sent you...
Mine died last year and bought an LCD with fast response time. No eye sore even at 60hz (I couldn't stand 2min at 75hz on a crt). No problem whatsoever with games like FPS or movies. Love it. _________________
