Itai... I'll wipe my keys down every now and then, but to take them out...? Sweat

I take them out so I can get to the area underneath the keys. Sure it's an area that my fingers won't be touching, after all I'm just typing, but it doesn't sit well with me knowing that there is junk underneath. Just don't like the thought of having the junk festering underneath. Victory! Peace!

That works for the most part, certainly, but after taking the keys and seeing some of the junk stuck underneath I wasn't simply going to leave it at that. Perhaps I'm just being anal about things being clean, but I figure taking twenty minutes or so every few weeks isn't that bad. Sweat

i recently took up that rule. I was eating a egg and cheese bagel while watching some stuff, and my sunny side up egg yolk exploded out the back of the bagel and all over my keyboard. Bang Head

well, fortunately, it was about 50% cooked, so it wasn't as runny as it could have been. I was able to lick up most of it, the rest i cleaned up with a stack of napkins and some toothpicks.

I'm having the same issue as coco-chan... and they are TDK discs too, which are supposed to be ok Bang Head Short of watching every disc all the way through, there's no way of knowing if your burned disc is 100%.

To make matters worse, I backed up the data files to a disc that is now unreadable also Doh! Bang Head Doh! Bang Head Shake Head

Recently, I got some dramas/movies from someone who used TDK discs and I've had problems with the discs stalling and blockiness. I really hate asking for replacements since they were kind of a gift. Sweat

So in other words, I'm going to try staying away from TDK discs from now on since I've been having trouble with them. These new discs and your discs, AD, just confirm that that brand just sucks. Too bad though since there's a sale on them right now ($26 for a 100-pack).

shin2 has sent me TDKs in the past which haven't been a problem and I've used TDK DVDRWs with little incident as well...

Have you tried the discs in other DVD drives/players?

As mentioned before, discs are not 100% compatible with every drive/player out there...

No, but the disc I have problems with has a mark sort of under the surface and can't be accessed even with Isobuster.

I re-downloaded the data files overnight anyway Sweat

Heard a lot of good things about Taiyo Yuden discs, so I bought a 100-disc spindle from Supermedia store a week ago... Let's see how they work out. Fingers crossed
