Ever go to the original one in Manhattan Beach? The parking there sucks beyond all belief... And that's the one I go to.

hehehe.
i'm not picky, as long as it watchable and not on vhs, is fine by me. hehehe. although, watching trick series on HQ video format would be better (mpeg4 and mpeg2) and not mpeg1. _________________

If DVD recorders were around $100, I'd say yeah, but they're still like $300, neh??
Besides, this gives me experience with messing around with Firewire and video editing software... It's educational!!

Yea, you actually might find one for like $200 at costco or something but there are some that go to about $800
I must say it's pretty handy though, amrayu will vouch for that too

Oh, I don't doubt it, Elt. But the prices will come down even more. And soon, I think.
Hey, do you know if you could use DVDRWs in 'em or only DVD+/-R discs?

I tried dvd-rw in mine and it didn't read even though the guy at best buy said it would work. I just use DVD-rams to record anyways though since they're rewritable as well and last longer.

yup it reads fine in the comp. Most dvd-roms will read dvd-rams nowadays. However dvd-rams wont always play in stand alone dvd players
