How long were you in Tokyo? Was it 3 years or something?
Yeah, Osaka is great and the people are way more friendly than in Tokyo. Well of course that is IMO.
Are you planning on living in Japan after your schooling is over? |
I'm here right now, I live in Tokyo. I have been here for 6 months now, studying for a year for my last year of college. I'll head back home to SoCal in July, hang around for a month or so, buy some suits and dress shirts, then I'm looking to get a work visa to work in Japan doing pbƂAłB

Wow. Boy are you lucky (IMO). I would've killed to study abroad! So that's when you're planning to go to Osaka?

Yups. I hear you esp on that one! To do anything in Japan (providing you want to live there and what not) is worth the pain and hassle (IMO).
$h*t, I'd strip there if I could stay!!!!!
I don't know why I haven't gotten around to living there for school....... maybe 'cause I don't have enough to support me for the time I want to stay there And as far as work goes, I don't have a degree (which makes me pretty much S~ to them) so I can't get a reputable job there either.
Oh well, it looks like only tourist visits/visas for me.

Might just grab some teaching work for a bit when I go over there this May. |
Good to see that you've studied in Japan. Boy, like I said earlier, I would've killed to study or work (and live) in Japan. *sigh* How I miss the food, weather (except summers) and girls! *LOL*
If I ever had a chance, I'd live in Osaka/Kobe. Or maybe Okinawa as well? I think Tokyo would be too overwheming for me.
You're going back to Japan in May?! Oh, you lucky bastard!!!!! My vacation ain't till Sept. which is probably when I'm going back. But rather, I prefer the winter seasons as the 'time' to go. (Preferably Dec-Feb). _________________

I'm from San Diego, so this cold we are having in Tokyo right now is like hell for me. It snowed today!! That's the 4th time this year it has snowed in Tokyo! I love summers here, give me hot weather anytime. As a bonus, hot weather makes girls wear less clothing.

The first time I ever saw snow was in Japan in 2002. It was great!

Ewwww. Hot weather. I'm from Hawaii, so I think I can relate.

Heh, not with the kind of weather we've been having lately. A storm passed over and now we just have the doodoo trail of it. Off and on raining. Can't make up it's mind. Sunny one moment, the raining the next Besides, I LOVE the cold weather!!! I mean, being from Hawaii and all, especially since we don't have that kind of weather here.
Heh, my first snowman looked like he was on crack! _________________

that storm was probably the one that just hit tokyo the other day - it was snowing!! it was starting to warm up and then all of a sudden we got this massive cold-front that swept over us.

what is the meaning of word 'ikuzo'?i think the root word is 'iku'(go).is it same with 'ikuze'?what is the meaning of 'zo' in the back of the word?i think this word is commonly used in manga.is it always being used in daily conversation? |
ikuzo is a very harsh and masculine way of saying, "let's go!" I rarely hear it used in person, you must have heard it from an anime, correct?

I hear it a lot, but after all, I do have some 'grunts' as friends... _________________

oh really? this side of Japan you would hear it about as often as "washi", but then again I don't talk to 60 year old men too often, so I don't see when I would have the chance to hear "washi" used that often.
