allthough it is more impressive to use adjectives like utsukushii cause for some reason kawaii is known by any foreign visitor Smile

No, it doesn't make sense to call someone's hair "utsukushii." Gramatically, it's correct, but it sounds odd. There may be some circumstances that you could say that, but most are weird.

If you want to call someone's hairstyle cute, the best thing to say would probably be:

^킢B
(Kamigata ga kawaii.)

There is much more wrong with the first sentence than just the particle, by the way.

The only reason I say this is that people asking questions will take whatever you say to be true, whether what you have written is right or wrong.

Thanks,

Is the answer suppose to be something like

anata ni aimasu ga yokatta desu

I was never great with writing sentences.

Would be great if write the correct answer. Would like to know where i was wrong.

"Anata no namae wa desu ka?" and "desu" is basically the verb "is" or "to be"

Also heard "Onamae wa?" a few times and I've learned it from JP lessons. I might not be polite tho.

Smile

It was somewhere in Pimsleur. They teach you the full version first and then tells you, forget it and just remember the 2 words.

It could be another one of these situation, where you can be forgiven if you use it, because you are a foreigner, but shouldn't use it for business.

Hmmm... Crazy You don't really say "nice to see you" in Japan.
If you were being formal and you were going to say something like that to your partner's mother or father, or to some person that you didn't really think that you'd see again, you could say:

܂łāAꂵłB
(Mata o-ai dekite, ureshii desu.)

It literally means, "I'm happy to have been able to meet you again."

But to a close friend, you wouldn't say anything.
Come to think of it, I don't think I'd say it in English to a friend either.

HTH,

"I am watching TV" could be "Watashi wa terebi mimasu" or you could drop the "Watashi wa" for example: If someone walks in the room and asks what you're doing, you could just say, "Terebi mimasu" or you could say "bangumi mimasu" (bangumi means "televison program")
