i usually don't watch k-doramas but right now i'm watching the korean version of hana yori dango. forgot the title, Boys Before Flowers?
anyway, cast-wise, it's quite the opposite of the japanese version. the lead guy is one hell of an eye-candy (he probably had several plastic surgery) but the lead girl is just so painful to watch. whereas the japanese version inoue mao is the one to watch and MatsuJun is the one that hurts your eyes.
script is awful. music score is horrible. but those korean do know how to build character. + there's the three little bitches as an extra _________________

I didn't even like the japanese version, so i didn't even bother watching korean. Shining Inheritance, now thats a great drama

Hahaha, and I thought I was the only one who felt that way. I got through 12 eps of BOF before bailing out. Lee Min-ho (Jun-pyo) was the best thing about this drama, while Goo Hye-sun (Jan-di) was arguably the worst--woefully miscast to begin with, then giving a performance so painfully retarded that her character wasn't a real person anymore. (Makino, you rawk! Makino 4vr! lol)
HanaDan had its flaws, but I liked it best of all three adaptations. (Oh come on, MatsuJun wasn't that bad! Maybe a *little* on the fugly side, but I thoroughly enjoyed his take on the role--i.e. Portrait of Domyouji as a Ten-year-old Sociopath. )
And those "three little bitches"-- well, it's just two of them now. One killed herself before shooting wrapped. Sad, very sad.
I'm currently watch Coffee Prince, but two episodes wouldn't work on my DVD Player so I'll have to watch them on my computer. In the meantime, I've started watching Snow White. I think I'll enjoy this one. The first episode was HILARIOUS! _________________

Oooh never knew about this thread, I LOVE Kdrama. The Korean version of Boys Before Flowers is actually my favourite version even tho I saw the Jdrama and loved it first. The characters are much better developed. I did prefer Inoue Mao to the girl in the Korean show but that wasn't enough to make me prefer the Japanese one. The Japanese one is good but yea... in the Kdrama

I nearly cried for Rui, he was utterly heart broken when Makino turned him down, there wasn't that kinda depth in their relationship in the Jdrama... or so I felt. What really won me over is the Kdrama is the only version where my fave pairing from the show get together ... kinda. Yuki and Soujiro all the way <3
I recently just finished watching 'Partner' really enjoyed that. And yesterday I started watching Princess Lulu... I only found up to ep 3 so I hope I can find the rest soon T_T also wanting to watch Snow White trying to get my mits on it but it looks like it's gonna take forver >><<

HanaDan Season 2 I was Team Rui all the way, baby! Which is why I'm among the three people on the planet who wish this drama had just stopped at Season 1, whose ending was nothing short of PERFECT. Season 2 completely turned me off Domyouji and I realized that I had capitulated to Rui's side almost immediately. (Rui! Rui! Rui!)
In the interest of showcasing my crude and rudimentary knowledge of J-Ent 6 months ago: I HONESTLY thought the F4 guys in HanaDan belonged to the same boy band, because ever since watching the TW-version back in 2002 I had assumed the same would be true for the other adaptations, haha. Kinda stupid of me to think so, really. So for months on end I kept thinking that Oguri Shun et al. were Arashi members as well, lol. My best friend ever so kindly disabused me of that notion, like, very recently, lol.

@Ender's Girl - Yay you have good taste in Kdrama ^0^ I am on Soompi though I haven't been on as much as here and I recently finally got around to signing up for daddicts too XD my name on other forums is 'TaroTard' I can't remember if I stopped by a Capital Scandal thread on soompi but sounds good I'd like to take a look. Its such a great show so cute and Ji Hwan is awesome! XD I have not seen Hong Gil Dong!!!!! I keep meaning to watch it :oooo
I also think HYD would have been perfect finishing at series 1 it had such a good end I loved it.
My best friend won't watch it cos she is in love with Oguri Shun and thinks Matsumoto Jun looks ugly and silly in it ^^;;;; she can't understand why Makino would chose Domyouji over Rui lolz =. _________________

Ahhh, so you'reTaroTard! Yeah, I last saw you at the "What is your favorite Kimura Takuya drama series?" thread over at D-A, lolz. The CAPITAL SCANDAL thread at Soompi is very much alive and kicking--lotsa screen caps and stills and BTS shots (plus some really funny Photoshopped pics, lol) care of the Kang Ji-hwan x Han Ji-min shippers. I'm harboring NO illusions about KJH and HJM as a real-life couple (besides, the only shipping I wholeheartedly support is the KimuraxMatsu shipping, heh heh heh), but the photos ARE extremely cute.
LOL, so your friend likes Oguri Shun, ehh? Yeah, I think in real life I'd choose him over MatsuJun--like, in a heartbeat. Oguri Shun isn't classically handsome, but he gives off that cool vibe, ya know? Whereas MatsuJun... hmmm... very... distinctive look, yes? As my best friend put it, "Only MatsuJun looks like MatsuJun," lol. Funny, the first time I saw him I said, "That guy has NO chin!"
