imo, i think most are too draggy. However, I do like The successful story of a bright girl drama. At least there are both humour and romance inside. The other korean dramas I watched are usually sad romance stories. But i guess if I have to choose, korean movies are so much better than korean dramas.
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU
oh but i know one korean that i really LOVE!
it's this one "A Tale of Two Sisters" this movie is a hell of a scary movie!
this movie is a gross,really scary,brutal,and i guess a little gory story
both of the sisters were killed by their own cruel stepmother and their father is so dumd,weak and so stupid in this movie that he didn't even make any sense out of this

I agree with yanyun. Japanese actors are more youthful looking while the Korean ones give off a more mature look. Overall I prefer Korean actors. they are so cute, Especially Kim Nam Jin!!! That guy is sooo fine... _________________
i totally agree with you... the girls are just all the same.. i dont know what makes them look same. maybe their eyes? yeah..the actors are not as handsome as the japanese actors. its is just..they are not hot enough for my eyes! and the teenage actors? ukh....

so what's your true name?
it's kenji. the kanji for it is kashikoi(ken) and shi from bushido. my mother chose the kanji as it's rare for kenji to be spelt like that. certainly i've never seen it anywhere else. i'm very grateful.
the girls at work call me kenjilina and it kind of stuck!

I won't say that I can't stand Korean dramas, because truthfully I do watch a lot of them (they're all over in Vietnam, you see the dramas on TV every frickin' day, on every channel ), but so far, I think the reasons Kdramas are popular:
- Manly actors / beautiful actresses
- The plot of the drama is pretty much like a fairy tale (in other word: unrealistic, but girls really like it, ne?)
- Excessive use of good vs bad character; poor vs rich... make the viewers sympathize with the pitiful main character and loath the evil character, so they're willing to sit through the entire long long drama just to see the end of that evil character . This method is used in ALMOST ALL of Kdramas and I must say, I'm just sick of it. My mother always wonders... is there a lot of evil people in Korea?
- Its extreme focus on Love and only Love (hot theme, isn't it?); and when the characters are in love, they will love only one person till the end of the world, meaning they will do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING to have that love. Doesn't that make your heart melt? Oh soo sweet, ne?? Yeah right ...
Jdramas are so different though. I mean, comparing to C/Tw/Hk/Kdramas, Jdramas stand out. But that's why I love them. But to be able to appreciate a Jdrama, I guess you just have to get used to the Japanese' ways of thinking. In other words, it's a little bit hard for the mainstream audience to be addicted to Jdramas, like how they're addicted to Kdramas.
And in my opinion, I think Male viewers like Jdramas more than Female viewers do. _________________

@My Eternal
is this how ur name written? --> m
im trying my luck.
@mikomi
hey i like wad u said abt kdramas, really. i think not girls, it's more aunties. at least in my country it seems like the aunties are crazy over the kdramas' male leads. i still think girls between 12~18 will still like the johnny boys. at least tt will be the look they think is cute instead of those korean idols.
becuz aunties, like my mum she dunlike to watch jdoramas, the only 2 she sat thru is one acted by Masakazu Tamura's Furuhata Ninzaburo and Double Score (becuz she thinks manabu oshio is hot! and hotter den Sorimachi Takeshi ). haha..
