Anybody watching Summer Scent or Scent of the Summer. It's currently airing on Mondays and Tuesdays here in Los Angeles.
It's about Hae-won (female), a heart transplate donee, and Min Woo (male) who is the ex-boyfriend of the hear transplant donor.
Pretty interesting concept/story.
Hae-won is played by Jang Nara I believe. She's really pretty.
Not sure the name of the guy actor who plays Min Woo...like I really care
Hae-won has many of the qualities that Min Woo's ex girlfiend did who died in a car accident. That's how Hae-won got her heart.
Now Min Woo can't figure out if he is really in love with Hae-won or is it because she reminds him of his ex girl friend so much.
Hae won is in love with Min Woo but Hae won is actually engaged to marry somebody else. Her donated heart is telling her that she loves Min Woo but her fiance has been by her side for so long and she cares for him alot but her heart doesn't race when she sees her fiance.
On top of that...Hae Won's fiance has a sister who is in love with Min Woo.
Talk about your typical soap opera love triangle square rectangle or whatever you want to call it circus romance!
Anyhow...episode 16 is on tonight. So far so good. I mainly watch because of Jang Nara

I'm not much of a Korea drama fan. The only Korea movie show i watched is "The Sassy Girl". Very funny and the lead actor (what's his name?) is so cute.

Chae Tae Hyun! He's cute right?
But yeah, my personal fave is Winter Sonata & Loving You! Both featured Park Yong Ha!
Anybody can recommend me those heart-wrenching K-dramas that made you finish up the whole box of kleenex? I need to cry!
hahaha! How about Piano? I heard that show is very, very sad!

My Love, Patzzi
To understand the title and plot of this drama, you need to know the Korean folk tale of Kongji and Patji. It's like the Korean version of Cinderella, where Patji is the evil, ugly, mean sister who no one likes. Kongji is supposedly the super nice one that ends up with the prince at the end. This drama is a parody of that story in which Kongji isn't really all that nice. She's just pretending to be nice to get men and Patji, although a bit mischievious and rude, really is a nice girl inside.
The story starts with Song-yi (Patji) and Hee-won (Kongji) in elementary school. Song-yi likes a certain boy who's quite popular with all the girls. Hee-won says she herself is not interested in him because Song-yi likes him. When the teacher says to pick your favorite guy to sit with, Song-yi boldly grabs the boy's hand. Then Hee-won goes up to the same guy and tells him to sit with her! The boy rips his hand from Song-yi and grabs Hee-won's. Song-yi, furious over the fact that Hee-won stole her guy, throws her shoe at her and beats her up! It's years later and nothing's changed. Hee-won is still the nice one that all the guys like. Song-yi is still the loud, obnoxious girl who no one likes. Throw in a rich, good-looking guy that thinks Song-yi is an angel for saving his life and the reappearance of Mr. Elementary School guy and you get a very entertaining series!
Cast:
Yang Song-yi: Jang Na Ra (Joyful Girl's Success Story)
Kang Seung-joon: Kim Jae Won (Romance)
Kim Hyun-sung: Kim Rae Won (Beautiful Life)
Eun Hee-won: Hong Eun Hee (Shoot for the Stars)
Hwang Bo Yu-ri: Kang Rae Yeon (Snowflakes/Romance)
Yang Sam-yeol: Kim Kyung Sik
No Ji-young: Shin Dong Mi
Nam Joo-im: Park Kwang Jung
Moon Seung-man: Heo Min

The fact that Top star LBH proposed to SHK in public
was revealed late.
It is said that LBH surprised staffs with public love confession
toward SHK at a gathering after photo shooting.
HIs open confession was made at gathering at an hotel room
for an after-party of photo shooting.
LBH and SHK together with staffs played the game telling the truth
drinking wine.
At that time when somebody asked how he feels about SHK,
LBH paused a while and then made a bombshell announcement
" I think she is the last women of my life."
Right after, about the same kind of question to SHK,
she answered shyly " I will follow (LBH)obba"
It is notified that LBH and SHK exchanged couple ring which proves their love.
Searching the place without Koreans after photo shooting in Sicilia, they moved to Pirenche.
Enjoying city tour at Pirenche, they stopped by a certain jwelry shop and bought rings for each other.
It is heard that LBH and SHK were much cautious since they were under the process of proving their love during the trip to Italy.
Ring rounded with small diamonds presumed as a couple ring,
which SHK was wearing when she entered the airport on 28th.

No one has mentioned Glass Shoe yet. It was one of the earlier ones that i watched and it was pretty good. Kim Hyun Ju looked very cute and pretty, I thought she actually looked a lot like SHK.
Attic Cat is another great kdrama, I actually liked it more than Bright Girl. Both are pretty funny and romantic but Attic Cat was just more fun. One of the best kdrama for 2003 IMO.
Ruler of your own World is the most unconventional kdrama I've seen. It doesn't have the trappings of all the other dramas and its not bog down in melodrama. It even deals with the over used fatal diease plot device in a more positive manner. Highly recommended.
A Wish Upon A Star was ok compared to the others mentioned so far. A lot of people seems to like this series but I didn't like the characters too much. Another case of poor girl meets rich guy but not as well done as Bright Girl.
Now currently watching The Mermaid. The verdict is still out for this one.
