Yes I am a newbie here. I have been a fan of (Saturday night - locally) Japanese Drama for a number of years. In my youth I traveled to Tokyo and viewed the city from the Tokyo Tower. I experienced the subways at rush hour and the crowds on the streets. My favorite part of the city is Shinjuku. I saw the Imperial Palace and helped 3 very cute school girls with their English lessons while riding a train. What I'm trying to say is that I wish I were there!
Japanese drama is the next best thing to being there. My favorite series so far is Sakura. The story was set in Japan and Hawaii. I lived for many years in Hawaii. My wife is like Sakura, the lead character...so perky and fun! I'm much more of a dud, like Sakura's lover in the show.
I am an amateur photographer and for the past year I have been attending Anime Conventions to shoot Cosplayers. Visit my webpage and if you are a Cosplayer in the Bay Area, perhaps we can meet for a photo shoot.
That's all for now. I enjoy reading the posts and viewing all the photos. And I have a question.....one of the dramas I viewed many years ago, had a character named Goro. I believe the story revolved around a woman doctor but my memory is very foggy. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

My name is Silvia and I'm an 18 years old girl from Italy!
Some months ago I've started watching my first drama ever, Orange Days! Since that time I'm in love with japanese drama, they're so easy to see, you don't even realise that time is passing and they're so passionating! I'm also a fan of japanese rock music, my favourite band is Dir En Grey and I also went to see them in Germany!
My favourite actors are Hiroki Narimiya and Kimura Takuya, I also like Jun Matsumoto and Dohmoto Tsuyoshi.
Talking about actresses I really admire Koyuki and Ryoko Hirosue that I had previously seen in The Last Samurai (Koyuki) and Wasabi (Ryoko).
I also really like Rina Uchiyama!! ^___^ _________________

i think that if you want to make great friends that you can talk with about dramas , try the threds on actors or dramas in the appropriate forums ^^
