Im edmund from singapore. 19 this yr. was watching j dramas in the past n mostly translated in chinese.
got hooked over here when i search for erika toda, my fav. jap idol ever since after watching deathnote2 yesterday. Watching deathnote oso brought mi back to the j scene. hope u guys can help and introduce upcoming dramas, preferably erika toda in the cast. =)

Btw, im oso veri new to the forum. nvr joined a forum b4 so pls guide mi along.

Hello, I'm Delilah. I'm 16 years old and I've been obsessed with dramas very recently. My favorite has got to be Hana Yori Dango. (Can't wait for Season 2 tomorrow!<3) Some of my favorite actors are Tsumabuki Satoshi, Kuriyama Chiaka, Matsumoto Jun, Oguri Shun, Narimiya Hiroki, Inoue Mao, Sawajiri Erika, etc.

I also love Japanese culture. I enjoy anime/manga, J-Music, and Japanese food!

I guess it's sorta late for me to be introducing myself but I'm still fairly new!

Anyway my name is George and I live in Florida. I've been studying Japanese in my high school for two years and I'm just now entering my third year. So I'm inbetween using subs and just listening RAW so things get frustrating sometimes because I just want to understand it ALL haha.

Anyway it's good practice to learn anyway AND entertaining. I really got into drama to prepare myself for my homestay to Japan this last summer. While it didn't help me tremendously in the language department (I only managed to watch GTO, Kimi wa Petto and Gokusen) it did give me a lot of things to talk about and gave me more insight into the culture before I went. My language improved a lot when I can back and since then I've been watching dramas like an addiction. I really need to slow down but since I never have time during the school year I'm always watching during my breaks. I just finished watching Gokusen 2, Summer Snow and Iryu. I really recommend Iryu - it's one of the best dramas of 2006 and I wanted to get at least the softsub to watch because I saw parts of it with my host family that really liked the show but I didn't neccessarily understand everything, especially with the medical jargon. But definitely watch it it's an awesome show! (Not recommended for anyone looking for a romance drama, more fast-pased and detailed medical drama).

Anyway this was way too long. Hope to contineu conversing with you all on these forums!

I'm a Chinese born in Europe and I was quite Westernized because I was only watching and listening to English movies and music.
It was since last year that I started to watch Asian dramas. First I watched some Taiwanese dramas, then some Korean and now I'm mainly searching for Japanese dramas.
I really like Erika Sawajiri, that I discovered in 1 litre of Tears and that's why I joined this forum.
