Hi there, i'm Tempest or Temp... and in strange belief i am actually female even though my name gives off the impression i am male . I am 24 and have recently got into jdrama, 6 months ago i came across hana yori dango by strange occurances and since then i have become seriously hooked to the point i have watched so many jap, korean, chinese dramas that my list is becoming something to be proud of. I tend to be at the moment going for romantic comedies and some school life ones because i seem to find them attention grabbing at the moment. ^_^ but i am willing to watch anything as long as it has a decent storyline.
i live in the united kingdom so i am not really expecting people to be online when i am as timezones are really random. also if anyone can recommend any decent romantic school life dramas please send me a message as in the uk we have a serious lapse of decent stuff, heck our dramas are dissapointing compared to the ones i have seen from the genres i have already stated.
as for a bit personal i am a mother of a 15 month old, working part time and also working on a website i run and also a guild i run on a popular online mmorpg

Welcome to JDorama. Please bear in mind the term 'Jap' is considered derogatory in this community.

Hey everyone! I've been stalking the boards here for quite a while and have finally decided to get involved. Woohoo! I'm 18 years old and I'm about to enter the University of Michigan as an engineer. I am a guy (which around here is a rare thing for people who watch jdramas) and I'm indian (which is even rarer).
I got into dramas about 4 years ago but I only started watching them frequently about 2 years ago. I love all things japanese (nipponophile?) and am hoping to plan a trip to Japan some time in the future (if airline costs dont make me sell an arm and a leg).
I am a huge Nagase Tomoya fan (I'm a sucker for Yakuza ) and I also really like Kimutaku and Sorimachi Takashi; however my favorite has to be Kubozuka Yosuke (I'm still holding out for a come back).
In terms of actresses...Aya ueto, Takeuchi Yuko, Ueno Juri, and Toda Erika are a few that come to mine, all though im not all that picky (I cannot STAND Koyuki though).
Hopefully I'll be able to have a great time with all of you .

Hey all. I'm showstopper, a old man of 29 years of age . I enjoy Japanese music and anime, been watching anime since 1997 and listening to various Jpop/Kpop since about 2002 or so. I'm also a soap opera fan and well, soaps in America haven't been doing it for me lately so I decided to try out Japanese dramas to see if I'd like them. I found the Jdramas community at Livejournal and I saw a post on Koshonin. It sounded interesting because I enjoy competent female protangonists and crime stuff. Anyways, I just finished watching that and now I'm hooked on jdoramas and Yonekura Ryoko in particular. Hope to have fun in this forum. Peace out.
Just to answer sadacori, the 29 years old crack was a joke. In other anime forums, I feel like I'm a old man with all the tweens and teens when I post. Seems like I could fit in just fine here,

You will
I'm an anime fan too (who would have guessed?) and i'm a little older than 29 I know what you mean about other forums though. If you're over 18, you're an old person

Oh tell me about it. Seems like majority of forum members (especially Jpop fans) are 20 or younger and it makes me feel old. Even moreso if someone a lot younger than me complains that they are soooooooo old. Glad there's another person older than 25 here on the boards. Hopefully you post regularly.
By the way, I'm a Jpop fan, myself and have been since the mid 1990's. _________________
