Were Australians in first? I think that's their national pastime.

it think first place went to some former Eastern Bloc country in Europe.

Trust me, drinking constitutes many national pastimes...what about the Irish? It's a birthright.

Whoa. Koreans came in 2nd? Must be the women who helped them attain that status. Seeing as how many Korean bars we have here in Hawaii, it's no doubt that those women got their "training" in Korea. hehe Beaten

You can buy the girls a drink for $20.00/glass.
That's pretty much the standard price here to buy your Korean bar hostess a drink.

Austria and Germany have similar problems. I'm beginning to think all more important western/industrialized countries semm to have that problem by now and it doesn't really surprise me. And no, not because of the "decay" of things like the "traditional family". That's not really an argument. I blame it on stress, I mean when do you have the time to really consider kids? You have to go to work, then you have to go there and do that and that and something else, and then you also have to make sure that you don't die of a heart attack with 40... etc etc...

And then there are people who have kids but shouldn't be allowed to have them...

I still say, allow gay marriage and let them adopt kids... they can't do it worse than some hetero couples I've seen. Really... *shakes head*

But anyway... Bang Head

Well if the whole world went gay then you would no longer be producing kids, if you think about it.

Gay marriage?
Two gays adopting and raising a child until adulthood?
And to (possibly) have that same child repeat the same action as his fathers? If this process were to repeat itself, it could turn out as SubaruWRX has said..

I doubt that. That's only a problem if you actually believe people choose to be gay. I had a friend who was raised by her mother...and her mother's female partner. She turned out straight. Meanwhile, another another friend with straight parents turned out to be gay. Go figure.

I still think it should be civil unions, not marriage...got throw the old conservs a bone, right?

Overall...I'd be more than happy to help with Japan's baby shortage.... hehe

because of the one-child policy, there wont be enough youngsters to support the aging population in about 30-40 years to come.

2 parents=1 child--------->2 old folks= 1youngster

in 50 years time, imagine what will happen?! tax burden on the young will increase to support social services, production slows, earnings decrease etc, etc... yes, china has 1.2 bil people, but what's the use of having a large proportion of them being old and economically unsustainable? japan needs babies, so does china in the not very far future.
