No ya don't. They'd get indigestion from eating rotted meat.

Maybe his trading/selling business has grown so much that his head has gotten big...
All I can say is, "remember where you came from..." If you step on the people who got you there, you'll get your comeuppance. In spades.

I believe you would file a complaint with the post office or something, maybe the authorities. Not sure exactly on he process. You would need proof of sending the money to him though. I'm not sure of the exact process but a friend of mine told me that when I was trading magic cards over the internet in case I got ripped off.

What shocks me is that I had absolutely no problems with him at all. Just over a year ago, before I knew about this forum, I found his website through a Google search. I sent him an email and after hearing from him promptly, I ordered one program on VHS tape. Got it without a hitch. Because service was prompt and the quality of the program was pretty good for the most part, I went ahead and ordered 3 more. Took him about 4 weeks to get all of them to me but I figured that since he was having to make so many tapes, that wasn't out of line. Overall, I was pretty happy with his service and the quality of the tapes.
Don't know what's happened since. Sounds like he's changed 180 degrees. Don't know that I can help but if you have some questions that maybe I can answer, feel free to pm me or post here. |
Same here, I dealt with him about 3 or 4 times over a couple years, but not recently. I think ever since his site address changed to adelphia, things went downhill (time coincidence). When Geezer posted about him, all I had was hope that he would come through and that he was just busy Then after Geezer, I decided to make a request. He never even responded to that. I assume something happened because if he wanted to rip more, he would have responded and took my money, I would think. Or maybe he felt he got enough? Anyway, I have an update for y'all, there are even more people who got ripped off by Jason:
Details on Bad Trader Jason Kirk
On March 30th, 2004, Jason agreed to make a DVD copy of Katachitare! and Sakura for Sharon Namahoe for cash. Sharon sent him a check, but he never sent anthing back and has ignored emails since. Jason also ignored email I (Micah) sent him asking him about the DVD's. As of early June 2004, Sharon is contacting Law Enforcement Online and Jason may be up for a felony.

Let's hope justice is served.
Nice and cold.

THIS I'd like to see...
COMPLAINT: Seller didn't send me merchandise I purchased from him.
ITEM PURCHASED: Ripped DVDs and TV show captures on CD-Rs
In otherwords, I don't think it's a good idea to file a report to any government-run body like the USPS, BBB, or whoever based on the particular items you purchased. If it was a comic book or a toaster, then I would file a complaint. You know what I mean?

Yea I suppose but even so you could just say "CDs" or "DVDs". There is no need to specify what it is that will be or is on it. That's your own privacy so for all they know it could just be blanks.

Ok, there was a thing a LONG time ago that happened on Yahoo Auctions. This was about 4 years ago In advance I ask not to be mocked....not ashamed but not exactly damn proud either I bought tapes of the entire series of He-Man on VHS (the 1980's version) from this guy. Yep, bootleg copies. I didn't care, this show was impossible to get and I'm an 80's child
He delivered as promised and I was ecstatic...still have the frickin' tapes too Anyway, he started to become a big seller of that same item, he'd have several auctions going at once. He got a bunch of good feedback. I dunno what happened, but I got an email one day from someone who bought from that guy, asking me about the transaction. I told him it went fine and all that. He was wondering because the guy didn't deliver. Suddenly tons of bad feedback came in, saying he never delivered even after a month or more, then he wouldn't respond. Then, one feedback showed up with info that the guy was in jail on some felony counts of fraud and mail fraud or something....there was a link to some info about it too. I remember it being valid info too. I dunno if it was directly related, but at the time I thought so.
So, I dunno, it's possible that he could get nipped even though it's regarding copyright infringing items....

Privacy?? In this age of homeland security and identity theft? That might be tough to protect... It might just come down to one person's word vs. another...

yea back when I was trading magic cards I would send everything certiefief with a signature so it proved that they got the stuff and they couldn't rip me off. I guess that's a safe way to trade, but there are ways to deny it of course

My turn to tell a very strange mail-trade story!!!!
This is in regards to the so-called USPS delivery confirmation service... I once bartered a gamepad for a very rare game system, for some games. Unfortunately, it was and outside-of-eBay deal, and also there weren't any money changing hands. I sent him the gamepad and purchased delivery confirmation for it. A few days later, I checked USPS and verified that the package was delivered. Didn't think much about it afterwards.
About a week later, I asked the guy when he was going to mail me the games. He then asked when the I'm going to mail the gamepad.
What? What the hell are you talking about? I sent it already, and I received delivery confirmation that you received the package. He swore up and down that he never received the package.
Crap! That doesn't make any sense at all! So I started wondering if either he's pulling my leg or he's actually telling the truth. So a few days of digging later, I actually spoke to the postman who made the delivery and his manager.
The dude lives in an apartment complex. The box was just a little too bid to fit into his mailbox, so he postman placed the package in front of the guy's door, right out in the open. Basically "delivery confirmation" under USPS guidelines mean that the package was left at the address. Didn't matter how safe the area was, USPS considered the package as delivered. Anyway, on the outside I suspect someone else picked up the package and ran off with it. On the inside, I think I just got plain ripped off.
And I never received my games.
That's why, every since then, I now use signature confirmation on EVERYTHING I mail out. Delivery confirmation is full of crap!!!!
