I am a old Yukie Nakama fan who's been stalking this thread for some time now, and I decided to finally join you all in this.
I'm a 25-year old artist from the Philippines. And of course, a Nakama Yukie fan from the Ring 0 days. I draw, paint, play drums and write. I'm also studying Japanese.
Why Yukie Nakama? Aside from her natural beauty, we've seen her develop from a cute teen into a sophisticated lady. This wouldn't be possible if she weren't smart, and I also applaud her agency for giving her what I think is the best training for an artist. she carries herself very well, and she could possibly be the best actress in her generation. Who else could pull off Yankumi's dorkiness and strength at the same time in 'Gokusen'? And who could also restrain Oboro's hidden power in 'Shinobi'? And 'Trick' wouldn't be the same if Naoko was played by any other actress than her. And her beauty doesn't go in the way of her character, unlike most other actresses.
Whew.
Let's see... I also like Aya Ueto, Erika Sawajiri, and I love Puffy (I actually have their Amiyumi, JetCD, Solosolo, and The Hit Parade CDs) and the Yoshida Brothers.
One interesting thing about me is that I have a girlfriend who resembles Yukie Nakama in many ways... hehe. (I already told chris about this--don't worry, you'll find your Yukie someday.) And she's also a Yukie fan.

How to go to the Bootleg Heaven in Quiapo:
From the Quiapo Church (you won't get lost looking for this, duh), take the underpass which leads to the other side of Quezon Boulevard (Quezon Avenue and Boulevard are different). Once you emerge, look for the corner with the Greenwich fastfood store, then take that small noisy street with people selling everything from earphones to bananas. In front of Jollibee is a green building which beckons you to come and bask in the glory of Video Piracy.
I'm not an advocate of piracy, but hell, there are so many movies and stuff which you won't find in a legit video store.

she didn't use to look like yukie until she grew her hair long and had a makeover. and she's quite proud that she looks like her, too (not everybody can look like japan's most beautiful celebrity!). she looks the most like yukie in the old beauty voltage pics and CMs.

regarding the vendors, good to know that they know what they are talking about. Here @ makati, the vendors just shout Ma'am/Sir DVD's, Anime, Japanese/Korean movies...if you go to them, they will just look @ you...if they see another customer, then shout their spiels again...business as usual! hehehe _________________

yeah, try your neighborhood internet cafe. either infrared or bluetooth will do. you can also try the photo shops at malls, they have some sort of file transfer/printing from cellphones.
