Hehehehe I'm one of those people who like Kanjani8 better then NEWS9(I know more about them too!) so I got a little pissed of when I heard some people saying things about K8 when they don't really know them very well but I all good now...anyway just wanted to add like Yamapifans said, NEWS has also when through so many rough times aswell..I was one of those people who didn't like NEWS because it broke up 4TOPS..but now I like them...I guess because of that they've all grown closer..but I still think the bond in K8 is a bit stronger..just because they went through even harder times(specially Subaru)..but they were finally able to debut..Ugh I hate comparing K8 and NEWS because I love them both so much!

When did this awkward silence happen in the NEWS Nippon CD? I also wonder why Johnny decided to keep Ryo/Uchi in K8 while they were in NEWS but break up 4TOPS???

I think the akward silence on NewS Nippon DVD is down to how you personally see it. I see it more as them being un sure how to act infront of a camera. All through the DVD they seem nervous and unsure of the cameras and I think they're just looking at each other waiting for someone else to do something.

ryochi seems to be fading these days probably just b/c Uchi has been gone for too long.......most new fans who gotta know NewS or Kansai 8 after his suspension knows very little about him, that's why.....I am sure when Uchi return, Ryochi will revive immediately~~

I like RyoPi and UchiPi.......you can say I am AllPi.......^^;;; I really like RyoPi b/c saw many of their shared moments when they were still little children........They were soooooooooooooo ADORABLE!!! Especially Ryo-chan!!!

Hey guys, some people are gonna kill me for this, but i want to say this anyways, again.

you know, a lot of us have kind of like favourites, and that 's really nice but if we are gonna be psycho-analysing each of the stars' lives, wellllll....i think that it's gonna be pretty tough for them.

I used to do exactly that a whole lot, but i realised that we are only assuming what we see on the surface. many of these guys are also professional actors, so sometimes, which are real and which are not?

Whatever anyone says, my only wish is that NEWS guys will be happy, and healthy when they come back. If Uchi and Kusano are coming back, i wish them the best of luck....they are so young anyways, and it's not fair to 'kill' someone's career just coz they made a mistake when they are still very young.

Sorry.. i admit i really don't know much about kanjani8 as well and shouldn't have made that comment.. When was k8 formed? Around the same time as 4tops? And 4tops was very popular in the past? Ehh, really sorry i am quite clueless as to what happened when the boys were much younger. please enlighten me

hehe i was all ryochi in the past but when i saw the childhood photos of ryopi i was totally converted ^^ but actually after watching so many fancams lately, i THINK ryo kinda prefers teshi more Ryo you are such a flirt!!

hmm.. it is uchi's and kusano's choice ultimately as to whether they want to come back? I think it takes quite a lot of courage to make a return after one is "blackmarked". Of course, most of us here will be more than willing to forgive what they had done in the past, but still i think there will still be a small portion of people who still blame the two of them for the suspension of NEWS.

I really hope Uchi comes back, but heard that actually he never really love this career very much from the beginning....so maybe he just take this chance and quit forever? Yes it's true that Kanjani8 was only confined to the Kansai area, their single Naniwa Iroha Bushi was sold in the Kansai area first and a month later nationwide. They formed in 2002 and didn't debut until 2 years later.
And I don't want to get into a lot details....and uhhhh.....all this K8 talk should really go in the Kanjani8 thread ^^;;;

Yup... true, but, they're humans too and so what if they dranked once, actually, it sounded kinda cool...

but it seems like that pji-san is pretty strict with these kinda things.... and by the way, how do japanese people them selves think about this drinking thing? though people who like news don't all come from japan, still, the japjapanese people are the ones who can make a difference....

i THINK that the japanese fans are quite okay with uchi and kusano coming back because in all those fancams of this year's spring con i watched, i spied quite a couple of uchi signs ^^

ya-ya-yah is the name of the TV show, hosted by ya-ya-yah and Shige, Massu, Tegoshi, & Koyama. some kids game shows......somehow like Shounen Club.......The Japanese fan went to be the live audience of the show, and in her repo she said that during the filming of the show (which isn't broadcasted in JP yet) Koyama said something like "starting from Jan07 countdown, plz continue to support us", and "we have started making the new CD now".........

Yeah, this talk about eito should really go into K8 discussion thread. But like tenshi01 said, Kanjani8 didn't get the kind of hyper debut the way Arashi, T&T, NEWS & KT got. It almost seemed like Johnny still wanted to 'punish' them for the rebelliousness they caused even before there was a Kanjani8. But yeah, if lizakajang wants to know more, you can ask us at K8 thread.

About FOURTOPS, you may as well ask us again in the johnny boyz thread, but yeah as you said, 4TOPS were very very popular, even KT was no match to them at that time. The four members of 4TOPS were the 'little brothers' to T&T, and that's why T&T kinda pushed them so much. Here's another confession, the reason why I like Yamapi in the first place was because he's Toma Ikuta's best friend. I kinda hated him when he joined NEWS though I obviously understood that it's not his decision, but it still hurt because I adore Toma Ikuta so much. Only like last year then I began to accept Yamapi again, and that's about it.

Haha pretty much! Actually I've known Yamapi, Ryo, K8's Hina & Yoko, ex-4TOPS HaseJun, Kazama, both T&T, since they were juniors, but Yamapi was not my favourite. In fact, my most fav juniors around 2000-2001 were Subaru (when he was one of the hottest JE juniors besides T&T), and then there's the hugely talented Toma Ikuta.

1. Yamapi is totally popular, NEWS is not as popular as Pi
2 By NEWS not as popular... I mean, imagin this, you go to a village
or a small town in japan, then u ask a man that works as a vegetable
seller in his mid-40s, then u ask, "Do you know Nishikido Ryo?"
I'm actually pretty sure that the answer is no...
Different than when you ask who Ayumi Hamasaki is, i'm pretty sure
more than 50% Japanese will answer... yes
3. That Johnny ojisan is soooo... ($_$)
Other than the JE boys, i don't know if there are anyother japanese
artiste that releases an album, with more than one version (just like
NEWS singles and albums, or SMAP albums) but it ends up...
people still buy them!!! all the versions! And releasing in many versions
don't mean that it's popular...
Hikki, Ayu, Laruku, Chemistry, even ORANGE RANGE have their album
lisence bought, which means that country doesn't distribute the albums,
but actually sells them... Don't think so for NEWS...
4. But not so many copies sold does not make you an unworthy artiste
to be enjoyed... I find NEWS very entertaining... And, i think their
quality is proven since hey were asked to do an OST for OnePiece
Which is, to me, means that NEWS's music is considered able to be
enjoyed by all sorts of people, whatever their age, gender, even...

Trust me, animes have their own standards at choosing a soundtrack
all succesfull anime soundtracks happen to be very earcatchy, even

There you go again! I don't know, do you guys think there's no K8 fans hovering this thread?

K8's music not musically as good as NEWS? Now that's a first! So many people I've asked, even non-JE fans, think that K8's music is one of the best in JE! Not just because they can sing REALLY REALLY well, but they also play instruments, and some write their own songs. Not to mention that they have the VARIETY, rock, enka, pop, blues, where not all JE can claim to have. NEWS is too poppish, their music belong to the popular genre, and I'm not saying that their music is not good, because it is! NEWS' music is good popular music, while K8's music is edgier, more on the matured side sometimes & fun side sometimes, that does not cater to the popular music brought by most JE. To me at least, I can listen to FTO for so many times without getting bored because the voices are hella good and the music is hella fine.

Why doesn't K8's music sell as well as NEWS', you ask? Have you seen the recent sales? K8's singles get better with each release, their sales go up instead of going down like most groups. And one other thing, JE is biased to their Kansai boys, everybody knows that!

OK, that's all. I'm not picking up a fight, but please, mind your words next time? I won't go on about the deficiencies NEWS have because it's not fair and I won't. I still like NEWS, by the way.
