I thought (and still do think XD) that Happy Feet was really, really good . Okay, maybe not that good, but it was good nonetheless. Very funny (oh, Ramon ) and cute. Perhaps towards the end it went a bit 'heh?' though.

I've never seen or will probably never see Happy Feet, I'm not big on cg animated films ^^; But the thought of Teshi doing the voice of a cute little penguin (he can't sing) is too freakin' cute for words xDD

Yeah, I just seen the NewS press con, kYAH, everyone wore suits except Masu, but he looked so good in that kimono too ^.^ ....It's nice that they reassured us they still keep in contact with Uchi and Notti, but it's not like we had any doubts that they cut all ties or something ^^;

Since Pi is going to be on the next Shokura, I'm just hoping for a big surprise and he brings along the rest of the NewS members too ^__^

Just read a Japanese news article about the news conference.
It says during the suspension period, the 6 members has been keep begging Johnny's management not to kick Uchi and Kusano out and let NewS return. It says normally Johnny's would kick any artist would commit underage drinking or smoking. But b/c of their sincere begging, the management made an exception for them and let Uchi and Kusano stay. If that's true, it's so sweet of their member love!

• Popular Johnny's Jimusho group NEWS are officially back. The group went on a sabbatical last April after two separate incidents in which members Uchi Hiroki (20) and Kusano Hironori (18) were caught for underage drinking and "demoted" to "trainee" status. The former 9-member group is now down to six (Moriuchi Takahiro quit in 2003), and they made a long-awaited comeback appearance at the Johnny's Countdown on New Year's Eve. Over 200 reporters packed a press conference yesterday to hear them talk about their plans for the future and their relationship with the disgraced two former members. They are to release their 7th single, "Hoshi wo Mezashite", and will start a 19-date concert tour at the Yokohama Arena on February 17.

I'm so glad they supported them..but i'm not going to be watching NEWS' videos for the time being. Its hard for me to get used to a 6 person group so i'll wait till I get used to it.

Don't you think that that's unfair to the other members? Sure, Kusano and Uchi are a part of NEWS, but the other 6 are as much a part of NEWS as those two. For as long as they continue as 6, we should be supporting them just as if they were 8, until the day they become whole again. The 6 had to go through a lot even though they didn't do anything directly wrong, they don't deserve to have to further go through fans having a hard time accepting them because they are missing the two people who brought them into this situation in the first place. Harsh view, yes, but that's how it is.

monta, it amuses me how you react to news that Uchi and Kusano have had their names finally taken of the website. You were the one who kept on saying that they would only be mopping the floor, so logically, people who mop the floor wouldn't have their names on an artiste list, now, would they? *smirk*

Well I can't help how I feel hantuwriter.. u can lecture/scold (sry if ur not but the way u write makes it seem like u are) me all u want but it'll take a while to change that. I'll need some time before I'm able to accept it like I was with K8. I'm not used to seeing them as 6 people in general..u make seem as if i'm an asshole for feeling the way I do...i'm just ending this discussion here

I agree w/ you. The 6 members didn't do anything wrong to deserve any punishment. Yet, they did share the responsibility and punishment w/ Uchi and Kusano. Now it's time for them to return back to normal work. I understand some Uchi and Kusano fans may be disappointed and don't want to support NewS anymore. It's totally fine if they supported NewS solely b/c of Uchi/Kusano in the very first place. You can stop supporting them, but I really don't think anyone should attack/hate the other 6 members. It's so sad to see some Uchi fans in other forum saying that they hate Yamapi after they know that Uchi is kicked out of NewS (temp or not) and become trainee. They sound like it's Yamapi's fault that Uchi can't return.....they sound like Uchi is the innocent victim of this whole matter. Even if people blame Pi they'll foret about it eventually. I remember when people used to hate Tego..now people love him..I think(or hope ) that with time most people will come to their senses.

This is definitely a big step for NEWS, but I was expecting at least 25 concert dates. Hmm, maybe they'll add more later. But this is going to be a real challenge for NEWS. For Japanese fans, their singles are selling well and most like Yamapi but they have yet to prove themselves doing LIVES like this, and I know some of the Japanese fans are not that thrilled for continous cons like this (due to NEWS' own lack of experience and LIVE entertainment quality). But we shall see if this tour will work out.

Ryo still needs to slug his time for that BIG DOME con with K8 on 25th Feb though, and rumor has it that they're going to make it into a DVD.

I want to know why, too......guess they just want to let out their anger on someone, and unfortunately Yamapi is always the target.......sigh.......Some people accused Yamapi for lying that NewS will return as 8-member-team when in fact only 6 return now. Said he's a big liar and will never believe in anything he says anymore. Some people hated Yamapi for still being that popular when NewS in suspension....and pull out the old topic again -- NewS formed for Yamapi, 4Tops disband for Yamapi, every Johnny's decision only centered around Yamapi.......sigh......although only a few people feel that way, but still....kinda shock and feel sorry for Yamapi........

yeah. but that was a joke... there wasn't really a official announcement whether they will be ABLE to comeback -hell knows when- or not back then. but now, the officially announced that Kusa and Uchi are not part of JE anymore. what a waste of talent. I thought Kusa was somehow amusing. His voice has character, low but earcatchy.

Uchi and Notti have NOT left JE, they're still there just not with NewS (and K8) anymore...
There's really no point in blaming anyone, that's going to get you absolutely nowhere, I know it's hard for some to just accept this, but at least show that your NewS fan. Supporting them through thick and thin is what a fan should do...so that's what I'm going to do, even if Uchi and Notti don't return to NewS (or K8) I'll still be there fan.

The new single Hoshi wo Mezashite (Reaching for the stars) I think is so appropriate ^.^ It's like they're picking up where they left off after TEPPEN, there last time with 8 members, so to me, the title is very symbolic of them still continuing as 8...at least keeping the other 2 in spirit, b/c NewS is still thinking of them and still supporting them ^^
