Hey, I've been lurking and learned of BT and I got summer snow (from JTV) but when I started to try to watch it I noticed ep's 1-6 only have audio but no picture. I tried installing the windows media codecs package but to no avail...ep's 7 and on all work perfectly. Does anyone have the same problem and/or know how to fix it? I probably just need some codec but I don't know which one it is! Help!Shake Head

Ren, you are my new best friend LOL Bleah. Thank you thank you thank you.

Btw, when I first installed the codec pack it made my picture upsidedown and inside out LOL, but it did work. Uninstalled the codec pack and now EVERYTHING works, even the files that didn't work prior to install! Welp, thats windows for ya, but for now, I'm gonna go watch it!

Thanks again!

Doesn't mean to threat crapping here, but Nimo now have more bad than the good.. well yes it will works at first, but then it will cause many problems, uninstalling it will not really uninstall it completely either.

My suggestion: Get a program called Gspot, it will check video/audio codec used by a file. And get and install the specifc codec one by one specifically.
And yeah, avoid what so called codec packs Smile

Cheers.

Yea I used nimo and its working fine for me, keep in mind I only installed what I needed using the custom install option. Turns out in my particular case I only needed the xvid codec, so thats all I installed. Its also true that the uninstall function doesn't seem to work, so set system restore points to be safe. I personally think w2k is superior to xp but I use xp because it runs one old game I have and really like that w2k cannot Sad.

i second Prince's suggestion.

get gspot and only install the necessary codecs. the codec pack usually screws things up for me...eventually, i learnt to be smart and just install what's needed. usually, it is the divx5.0.3 (or whatever's latest), xvid, and divx 3.11...and audio codec is ac3.

the two indispensable tools for me with regards to divx have been:
gspot and divxfix

off topic, my friend saw that there is this program called gspot, he thought i had some adult program on my comp... Mr Green

Havin probs on codec issues? Codecs are evil, I wish there was one standard such as mpeg, no hassle with codecs. I use the followin codecs and progs: ffdshow, nimo codec pack (installed only audio codecs), Directvobsub for viewin subtitle files and PowerDVD XP for svcd/mpeg2 files. I use BSPlayer as a default player. The best media player around! Safe bet! I can assure you that 99% of the existin files work!

www.divx.com -- latest divx
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow/ --- ffdshow alpha
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ac3filter --- ac3 dolby audio filter

For media player, divx 3.11a, and vobsub, get them from download section from: www.doom9.org

All those top 4 players are good, I have used them, but my personal fav is media player classic, I like it for the simplicity.

Cheers.
