The Japan Formalwear Association presented its 10th annual Best Formalist awards on Tuesday. This year's winners were actor Naohito Fujiki (37) and actress Ryoko Hirosue (29).

Fujiki attended the event in a black tuxedo with bow tie, while Hirosue showed up wearing an indigo blue dress.

I have admired Ryoko for a long time. I think she is a very good actress.
She never seems to get out of character and plays well in any scene.

I still think her appearance at the beginning of 'MR BRAIN' was a perfect gem. I can still see the whole scene and she was just right. A very small appearance but not one to forget.

well her latest dorama was TRIANGLE, which is a mystery and has great casts in it such as eguchi yosuke. Really interesting. She also did the film GOEMON, and she had one of the main roles in the academy award winning film OKURIBITO *departures*. She s now doing another film thats coming out later in November.

So yeah she s definitely gaining back her popularity as a more mature actress now. She s so cute tho! Mr Green

she also just won the BEST formalist award,as posted earlier on this thread! w00t!

old pics or new?

she's sooo cute!!!

i just wonder why most popular actresses now in japan are young like that nagasawa masami...

it feels like our dear ryoko was dethroned...

way back she used to be so ultra-mega popular, that's what i read from here (the previous posts)
