Thanks PCM, that's what I thought. Utterly obssesed with something a little out of proportion is just scary.
I suggest that he should just concentrate on making his talent in creative writing for something else. Maybe he could write a good essay or something..that's another therapy to heal his "so called heartbroken".
That's a constructive idea, an essay. Channel those emotions into an essay... or better yet, a short story! Quality, passionate writing is hard to find.

at one time she WAS pretty popular. but in JPN, j-stars popularity comes and goes. being that she's been outta the spotlight for a while, i'd say there are starlettes who has surpassed her. _________________

Getting married and pregnant didn't help either...
Itfs not just the pre-marital pregnancy and marriagecitfs all this rumours Ifve heard ebout hercthat CANfT be true, can it? How can she stray so far? How can Ifve been so wrong?
Seriously heartbroken, get a life. She's just an actress. Actors have private lives too. I personally don't want to know too much about the actors I like. If they're cute, that's great, they're eye-candy. But seriously, you need to get over it. It's just not reality. So what if she had sex before marriage, so what if she decided not to have a private abortion that you would never hear about, so what if she's getting married. B.F.D.! Get a life! I enjoy their performance, I don't have any high expectations for them because I've seen what humans can do and these people are only HUMAN! Get it?
I don't want to be cruel, but seriously... GET OVER IT - SHE'S 25 YEARS OLD. ACTORS ARE JUST HUMANS AND THEY ARE JUST LIKE YOU AND ME, THEY GO TO THE BATHROOM, THEY BURP, THEY FART, THEY HAVE BAD BREATH IN THE MORNING (and some all day through), THEY LOVE, THEY LIVE, and some, sadly die, needlessly like Eun-ju Lee... DON'T PUT THEM ON A PEDESTAL, THEY ARE ONLY HUMAN.
fully agreed, they are all regular people too, just nice to admire beautiful girls. If your favorite actress/actor got married, good for them, not like you were going to marry them anyways, i mean how realistic would that be. Even my favorite kyoko fukada, she has her own life and whatever she does, she does in her life.
just let her go, and find a real woman in your life.

Whether in Japan or the United States...I just don't get fans who think their celebrities should be held to an image or something...or that there's something wrong with them not being like their characters. Maybe it's because I don't suffer from fanboyism, but I just don't understand. Either that or I don't understand some forms of conservativism. _________________

It's all part of the fantasy. Celebs are larger than life, so people expect them to live up to those lofty standards, that's all.

I agree with you. I guess that's why their profession is called "acting". Nobody is surprised if an actor who plays a villin is really a nice guy.
Admittedly, like nearly everyone else, I share somewhat of an interest in the details of actors' private lives, I none the less do not hold them up for idol worship. I think a lot of this is generated by a press that refuses to offer real news and finds it easier to give lowest common denomenator coverage, amongst a host of other social problems that for lack of time, interest, or inclination, I will not get into.
My only problem is with obsessed fans who need to just accept these actors as people. Just because they are on your tv every night doesn't make they your close friends, lovers, or whatever. That is stalker mentality and it scares me. Actors appreciate your loyalty and desire to continue watching them, that is their bread and butter. But they really are only human beings, frail and with foibles like us all.
Let's see, what is the basic story here?:
Television and movie star, now at age 24 and a responsible adult, has sex before marriage with boyfriend, accidentally gets prego, doesn't have an abortion, decides to keep the baby, and decides to get's married.
Hmmm. Tell me, which part of that is really so bad?
As for an image based on the roles they play, well then, they should have seen it coming with Ryoko. After all, didn't she star in Dekichatta Kekkon aka Shotgun Marriage? Should've seen it coming...
