Thanks. "Soapie" showed no results, but "Soapy"... GASP!
My goodness.
Hmmm, you must have found something else entirely
A "soapie" is just a soap opera or long-running drama - think soppy Japanese dramas, but usually running for years. Like Days Of Our Lives

Yea, I looked it up too
Mrs A.D. & I went to a trivia night on Saturday night: Our team came second, by 2 points only
We had to have a team name that started with "P", so we were "Paris Hilton Fan Club", which I am so NOT part of

Sorry to have shocked people.
Bad Geezer. Bad.
A.D.
In the U.S. Soap Operas are simply refered to as "soaps".
Of course, now I'm gonna have a whole new slant on the series because I just read that
Yoshino Kimura (One of my major favorites) will be doing-- er-ah... staring in, the Japanese/Australian Soapy. Soap. Drama.
I guess going though High School in New York is finally paying off for her. It shouldn't be all that hard for her to learn how to speak Australian.
