Me, too! Though I saw it last Spring. Very beautiful, even its surroundings. I had a pleasant walk there. THe story behind the pavilion is very interesting as well. Puts a twist on the whole beauty. lol _________________

Nice. I agree wholeheartedly. The surroundings add much to the beauty of the area. The area is designated as a World Heritage site by the United Nations, I believe.
When I went the weather was very nice. I have only seen pictures of Kinkaku-ji in the winter but it looks equally amazing covered in snow.

@b-kun: Ohh just think of it as an adventure. Your drive into downtown L.A. is more time to listen to some good music and you get to be away from The Queen at work. Who knows you may meet a nice young lady while serving on jury duty. Ya never know!

The voice of optimism and reason. We need that "light" here.

Where in downtown L.A.? If it's over by city hall, you're literally right next to Little Tokyo, good opportunity to check things out!

I wish I had your optimism... I just see it as an inconvenience that I could do without.

Why thank you Tu_triky. There is enough negativity in the world, we don't need to add to it, do we?

@b-kun: To tell you the truth I am not so much a naturally optimistic person, as I am a person who chooses to perceive events differently to help make my day a little brighter. Its' all about the choices. Try repeating this mantra...."Jury duty can be fun, jury duty can be fun."

That's definitely what I need to do.
I always find these things very stressful since they upset the even keel in my life, boring at it is sometimes.

I'll try that.
