I guess I really should get a cell phone. It is the 21st century after all.

If you do, I'd opt for T-Mobile's Pay As You Go Plan where you buy your minutes and there's no monthly fee... It only costs me about $100 a year, versus those monthly plans which could cost you hundreds per year. bleh

Broke my old sony earbuds yesterday - kinda pulled on the wire the wrong way so it kinda lost sound on the left earpiece.

Decided to get the newer earbuds by Ludacris - SL99. Sounds pretty good - the bass is not as overpowering as my old sonys but the mids and highs are a lot better.

Its gonna be getting a lot of use this weekend when I visit the park. Dancing

Gage,

You are not the only one without a cell phone. I don't want one at all. I hate phones. I still live in the day when we had a party line and could talk to several people at the same time. Lived in New Jersey then. It was a 'Terhune' number but I don't remember the numbers any more.
Today I get disembodied voices telling to press a number...then I get more voices giving me lists of more numbers. Never can get a real live human being any more. Bang Head

^ My brother doesn't have a cell phone, either.

I could live without mine as well, but it's awfully handy during an emergency.

I didn't know we had so many Amish on this message board. Don't ever go to Japan, you will have myocardial infarctions.

I had to get one for emergencies some years back. Had to be able to reach the vet from a farm that had no phone at all. Now I find I use it instead of a land line.

But I never turn the sound on. The phone after all is for my convenience, not others. Wink

After watching the wedding of reality couple Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed I have as many doubts about his capacity for fidelity as his kids do. Good luck to the long waiting bride. Victory! Peace!

Eve,

I watched tha reality show just because I couldn't really believe it. How did they manage to raise two apparently nice straight children. They knew what their mother did not know.

Why do they call them 'reality ' shows? I don't watch any of them but this one had me intrigued at times. There must be writers don't you think ?

I think they mean they use real people as opposed to professional actors. But didn't Bill Shakespeare say "All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players" ? So aren't we all actors?

Speaking of reality, for skipping out on her previous community service Lindsay Lohan is doing community service at the L.A. county coroner now. The way things are going, in a few years she'll probably be one of their customers.

That guy is incredibly ugly. I know why he wore all that make up on stage all these years...to hide that ghastly mug. And what's with his hair? It's more fried than a bowl of refried beans. It's a heavy duty Brillo pad on his head.

Writers guide some of it certainly. But the cameras are left in places unmanned and hidden and even if they know they are there after awhile become unnoticed. I certainly do not believe that Gene Simmons got caught cheating on purpose. Nor scripted. The children are unusually bright, not surprising coming from such a bright father. The guy is a marketing genius.

Agreed. Of course Shannon Tweed has an uncanny resemblance to the Joker. Too much work on that face. Personally I would never marry anyone who was famous for sleeping with everyone but me. Shake Head
