First, I'd like to say thanks for the support, guys!

I managed to extract all the data outta my disfunctional HDD! What happened was that the power unit that goes from the HDD to the motherboard was ready to die so if I didn't do anything QUICK, the drive would die and I would have no way of accessing it. All together, it took me about 5 hours to transfer all the data from the old HDD to the new one. Oh well, it was well worth it. Now I have my massive gravure collection again and other goodies again!

It was the bomb, two mountains, double your pleasure.

Only knock was that I needed earplugs at night because my hotel room overlooked Village Stroll, which was the main drag. Drunk college kids up from Seattle yelling as they walked down the street 'til 3AM. Can't complain, 'cause I used to be them.

Loved how the shops were open 'til 9PM, restaurants 'til 11PM, and bars 'til 1AM or 2AM. Also, the supermarket in the village is used to a large amount of Japanese tourists, so it had a better than expected selection of Japanese products.

Whistler (Vancouver) is going to host the Winter Olympics in 2010!

Hikaru no Go! I just finished watching that series. I want to try and learn Go, but it looks really hard. Maybe I'm just used to Chess since it's much more constrained and you aren't allowed to make as many free-form moves like in Go. Maybe I should go back and watch all of the mini-eps of Go Go Igo by Umezawa Yukari-sensei at the end of each Hikaru no Go ep.

They still air Hikago specials in Japan?

as for the mainshow, man I loved it and yes it made me start wanting to learn to play Go too. I used to play GO on yahoo games, and always got owned by fellow noobs oh yeah, that yukari sensei is cute
