I'm myopic. And...I'm working with laptop. I can just drag my laptop close to my eyes besides.that.my eye sights are not too bad only minus 2.5. I can't see long distance though..that's torturing.
Contacts are pretty bad for your eyes. Imagine plastic wrap around your eyes. no matter how porous plastic is, plastic is plastic. Have you thought about getting laser eye surgery?

i had some Lab today. but when i was about to step into the lab, the lab coordinator stopped me. he said i was not allowed to wear sneakers. only 'hard-leather' shoes. he even showed some tantrum at me and my friend.
[these shoes were meant to protect our feet i guess....]
so i had to walk all the way back, change my shoes, and attend that lab. i was 45 minutes late.
so what did i do at the lab? i just pressed "F5" on the keyboard, said "ready" and "stop" as the lab coordinator did all the drilling and stuff.
until now i never knew what on earth happened during that lab.
plus we did NOTHING that endangered my foot!
i was so damn tired. here i am not skipping lecture as i type this.
sigh~
weird, bio lab?? or chem? if it's chem, i would have thought sneakers would be okae. werd... :T _________________
its so screwy that the ed2k community had a serious setback with the arrest of simon moon. its been the backbone of alot of sources and releases that you guys see floating around.
from what i read, BT seems to be the next big target.

this is an excerpt from j-list mailing list...
The hit Japanese TV show Trivia no Izumi (Fountain of Trivia) continues to
amuse us with useless knowledge. Some highlights: the famous Belgian peeing
statue manekin pis has a sister, a peeing girl statue in Brussels. If
you've heard of Hachiko, the famous dog that waited years for his master to
return home to Shibuya station in Tokyo, not knowing that his master had
died, you can see him -- he's been stuffed, and resides in a museum in
Ueno. At Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants in Japan, there are plastic
statues of Colonel Sanders welcoming you to the restaurant. The statues are
a perfect replica of the Colonel at age 60 -- even the eyeglasses are made
to the prescription that he wore. In Cadaques, Spain, there's a version of
the Statue of Liberty that's doing "banzai" with both arms raised. And a
researcher found that all gorillas on the Earth are blood type B. _________________
