EXPENSIVE TASTES from the Mainichi Daily News
, is a two-layer hexagonal fruit cake measuring 20 centimeters tall and 18 centimeters in diameter and is covered with pink icing that is good for one year -- then you can eat it after removing the diamonds. (AP)[/b]
Sounds like it would be rather stale after a year. _________________

Wow. That's awesome.
I'd have to steal the diamonds cake to have that much money to spend.
most highly educated professionals in japan don't even make that much....
let's plan the diamond heist tomorrow...we can get Lupin III to help us with the caper.

Nah, the diamond heist won't work...
Abe Hiroshi will likely be nearby and spot you trying to heist the diamonds... he's got eyes like a watchdog.
Takizawa Hideaki will stop anyone from eating cakes before he does!
After you get arrest by the cops, Koyuki will be assigned to write the news story about how a bunch of silly gaijin attempted to steal a diamond cake...

im done with the nominations.. although i have ties.. how do you think i go about it in a democratic/non partisan manner?
My ideas:
1. I give you a piece of the diamond cake and my nominations wins...
2. Unless you have like 10 nominations ex equo, they could be added for the final vote too. Like 1 in 1st place, 3 in 2nd place, 1 in 5th place...
3. Another way to do it, is a 2nd turn or 3rd turn. Everybody votes for the top ranking dramas and we remove the not so popular ones. It's like a Pope election, but without the smoke. The problem we might have is some people will vote for a drama they never saw, since their nomination was removed during the previous turn. They'll vote for one just because there's a cute guy or girl in it. We can't do much about it, but we could trim down the nominations with the same results.
4. Wallstreet style. 1 post count = 1 vote. This might cause a lot a flaming though. Not my favorite.
We could do it in many ways. Not everybody will be happy with the ways or results, but that's to be expected.
I'm preparing a few molotov cocktails just in case. _________________

Or we could just crash at littlemissfab's aunt and save us the trouble. . . . Maybe it's like the Grand Hyatt in Roppongi.
LOL....perhaps..if we're drunk enough funny thing about the heist is i just read some article were some fool ganked (i.e. stole) numerous Rolex watches from a store in Ginza.
36 Rolexes stolen in Ginza cat burglary
With a similar modus operandi to an October robbery, 36 Rolex watches worth about 20 million yen have been stolen from Matsuzakaya department store in Ginza, Tokyo.
Friday's theft follows a similar incident on Oct. 29 in which 44 luxury watches and other valuables worth about 18 million yen were stolen from Matsuya department store in Asakusa, Tokyo.
Police suspect a thief hid in the department store after it closed and escaped from the seven-story building using a rope after stealing the watches--the same method used in the October robbery.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, a security guard discovered the theft of the watches on the building's sixth floor after an alarm went off at about 2:30 a.m.

Me too. I accept all kinds of money. The guy's probably going to get busted selling the goods though. How can you sell 36 Rolexes without getting busted.

Wah??? Then whatever BMW voted for would be the winner de facto.
I'm working on it. I might be able to make him vote for my dramas in exchange of a 2 weeks vacation in Hawaii with Ryoko. j/k _________________

Hell has officially froze over. Two of my co-workers, who are the biggest jerks in the whole world, just bought me really nice Christmas gifts. They must be daft of something . I just can't wrap my mind around it. Either they're really feelin' Christmas this year....or they're about to do something really shitty to me. I know that I'm being super suspicious here, but come on. Wouldn't you be? At least I thanked them with a smile though . _________________
