H,, how many did One Love sell in the first week? It doesn't seem to be doing as hot as One Love despite having higher first day.
One Love: Day 1 = 74,610 ; Day 2 = 46,713 ; Day 3 = 17,831 ; Day 4 = 9,889 ; Day 5 = 12,986 ; Day 6 = 11,332 ; Day 7 = 4,546
Total (sales 1st week) = 313,976

I love Beautiful days more than One Love but OL got its Domyouji and Makino (they also re-issued a special version), not sure Ariake siblings have that much followers though. There's still 2 more days. BD can still surpass OL first week sales.

Will "Beautiful days" be counted in 2008 ranking or will it be moved into the 2009 list?
It will still be in Oricon 2008. I think Oricon 2009 will start by the 2nd week of December, and it's probable that KAT-TUN's new single will lead the new chart.
It looks like BD will be able to surpass S&G before Oricon year ends and get into the Top10, but most possibly won't be enough to be in the Top5.
Which also means that Arashi won't have all 4 singles in the Top10, considering that S&G will definitely be pushed down in 2 weeks. _________________

Is it because Kattun hasn't had a single out for a long while or because they have multiple versions with extra postcards of them prancing around in Santa suits? Kattun always sells well (even without the santa suits) so its very likely ne~

So the multiplier changed according to the artiste popularity??
Maybe they added today sales...
gee.. some lucky marketing student might be able to come out a kick ass study for Arashi sales with all the infos gathered...
The multiplier changes with how many 40% of the stores registered with Oricon sell because these stores only report their sales by end of the week, not daily. It's most likely that stores in smaller towns are selling more BD single than their previous singles. This actually happens to Kanjani8 too, they also have the multiplier of 1.85. _________________

Thanks for that link!
That Oricon article also says Arashi also managed to top the singles charts with their four singles released this year, the last time a Johnny's band accomplished that was 9 nine years ago (1999) with Kinki Kids' Happy Happy Greeting/Cinderella Christmas, Yamenaide Pure/BABY LOVE, Flower and Ame no Melody/to Heart ^^ _________________

Yeah, I'm glad for this. DBSK fans have been boasting when the group hit 4 no.1 singles last time. _________________
