On the official website, the staff sometimes write little "secret reports"/diary entries following the filming for an episode, talking about things that weren't shown on the show or whatever. I don't know Japanese, but I read this off a Chinese blog and thought people might be interested ^^
Some interesting points:
- Apparently, Nino and MatsuJun really couldn't think of a team name right up til the filming of the show. Sho and Ohno had already decided on the name "SOS" (which is really quite ingenious, when you think about it XD) early on, but the other two couldn't decide on a name at all. During the filming, Nino suddenly asks the staff what they think the name should be, and one of them just offhandedly shouts out "MatsuPii", which is the nickname of their program's producer ^^; And so, MatsuJun and Nino's team became "Team MatsuPii".
- MatsuJun's hairstyle in the VTR was done under his own request XD The staff also notes that lately MatsuJun has been going through some subtle changes, especially with his appearance (*cough*nails*cough*). They also ask everyone to anticipate his future appearance XD
- The guest (Monkikki-san) had said that he wanted the bubble wrap and the little metal bead on the show, but he actually also said that he wanted MatsuJun's hairwax XD It's because from the beginning of the VTR to the very end, MatsuJun's hairstyle never changed at ALL.
- While they were filming the VTR, the staff were very worried about what the MatsuJun/Nino duo would be like, because both of their personalities are more suited for being hosts (meaning, both are rather headstrong, like to take the lead and do all the talking). But they were surprised that the two actually suited one another very well.
- About the point system with the Aibachi, the staff were originally hoping that everyone would think the pins are very cute once they see them. They didn't expect Aiba himself to complain and say that it seems very cheap XD So the staff kept trying to convince everyone that it's very cute. The truth is, they had spent way too much money on the Ninomiyas from when Nino was host, but they were too afraid to say it XDD
- Lastly, when they asked what the audience thought about the TV selling idea, the staff said that MatsuJun and Nino really had a lot of fun with their roles, and the two of them working together gave the staff the feel of a couple of evil and cunning salesmen XD (Y'know, the oily kind whom you just KNOW they're up to no good.)
taken from absolute. thx! interesting!! wondering wad jun's thinking of recently.. hmm. the ninomiyas didn't seem v expensive to me thou. XD

ok, back to our boys... thanks jessica for the d no arashi footnotes. those dnoarashi, magomago programs are really low budget anyway. they'll stinge on anything. and i hope jun dun go further than those killer nails and eye liner... can't take it if he has lipstick next... ok, if he change his hairstyle... but not bald thanks...
btw, i learnt a new word in tokyo to describe this phenomena:
Metrosexual
it describes guys who wear make up, facials, all the beauty stuff that women go through, but are still manly/not transvestites/not gay. just a fusion child of super urban tokyo. i saw lots of guys with plucked eyebrows, eye make up but in business suits or work attire when i was in shibuya.

haha, it's not only in japan, even in America. I think Ryan Seacrest from teh show American Idol started it all. egad! I mean it's good to like clean yourself up but if you go overboard and look prettier than a woman then you need to just take a few steps back into manhood. i REALLY REALLY REALLY hope jun doesn't use lipstick. I think I'd cry if he did~! _________________

The celebrations this year are bigger than the rest. Not only are they having it at the Padang but also at four other areas: Carnival@Marina, Tampines, Jurong and YISHUN (just outside my house).
And metrosexual is also described to people like David Beckham and such.
himitsu: THANK YOU FOR MORE D NO ARASHI! It's making my day.
Jessicasoon: Thanks for the translation footnotes.
And thanks for all the other downloads... I'm not quite sure what else I'm d/ling. I think Mago Mago... for some reason I have not even managed to see ONE episode of it...
Argh! I wanna go out and celebrate yet Arashi is glueing me here.

it's not just 'cleaning' themselves up, but in make up as well!
those guys i saw are like kattun on the streets! eye shadow, liner, colour brows, the works! i even spotted one with blusher... yikes!!! but dressed baggy pants hip hop style... cultural shock to me... and most of them are NOT pretty... i think johnny already recruited 99% of pretty boys in japan...
EDIT
i think tokyo 'metrosexual' is different from beckham's metrosexual... i can't seem for the life of me to equate er..hem... kattun/jun's nails with beckham at all...
and reini, you're only half as bad as me... when you are also going deaf on one ear you'll understand how i feel...
btw, dunadan, how old is singapore now? i lost count... (some singaporean i am...)

Hi girls n_n
I was thinking about the show of Sho in las vegas, that baby_pixie (if I remember well) has upload in her clubbox, I can help to seed it in jpopsuki if anyone wants ^^
but I had a question, that show only was one?? arent there more shows of Sho in las vegas??
it was interesting show, but I I havent found more of it
does anybody know it?? ^^
This is getting frustrating (Not at you, GacktSamaChachamaru)
i have been trying to download the files since hours ago and the servers are always full ....are there really so many arashi fans out there in this forum???
i just realized that even unregistered guests are able to download the files that we posted in this thread
Maybe i should start asking people to PM me instead of posting in the thread first
At least, this will ensure that people who are deserving will get to download the files first before the 'invisible unregistered Guests"
EDIT: Finally it is working
but i will still think about asking people to PM me instead. Don't want the invisible Guests who are unregistered in JDorama to be leeching off things....
ok...sorry if i sounded mean and harsh....the heat and mosquitoes are driving me nuts

blush?! i think if they use blush then they're definitely not metrosexual! or maybe each country just has their different ways of interpreting the term metrosexual and japan's is just a little more make-upy? seriously, blush and baggy pants? _________________
