It's illegal. But some people don't really listen to rules and laws. Ahh...to be grateful to them for filming the con or to be all righteous and attempt to discourage them? What a dilemma.
Although it's not right, all I feel is gratefulness towards the people who film during concerts. x] In a way, it is still trying to spread the love for the artiste/s performing, no?

dalinee: About liking Arashi, some people are no longer into the pop-scene like my friend (who ironically used to be the biggest BSB-fan) but though she finds their songs not to her liking (she's into JRock especially Gackt), she agrees that Arashi are great to watch for entertainment's sake especially all the pieces I've sent her like the Wazaari Engrish Lesson clip and OMIYA SK!
I know it's weird that in a way, I want her to "embrace" Arashi as much as I have but the best feeling when I talk to her is that she takes her time to actually listen to them, know at least who is who (she likes Aiba because he cries) and she accepts them. I think just spreading the love for Arashi is the best thing ever.
My favourite songs are separated into two; group and solo.
Favourite Group Song:
Subarashiki Sekai - it wasn't the very first song that I would choose but after reading the lyrics, I like the whole wonderful world theme and the tune grows on you.
Favourite Solo Song:
Rain - ultimately, it's down between my favourite member and the best voice. I like all the solos (yes, even W/ME because I can't help locking to it) but Ohno's soulful, emotional voice beats Sho's raspiness by a thin margin. _________________

I was wondering that is it legal for fans to videoshoot the concerts? Because usually in Finland there is a rule that forbits it... Maybe japan is different then....?
I think thats not legal in anywhere, but those rules only are made to take more money from the fans, couse the groups filming their concerts and late sell the dvd and cd, for that if the fans filming the concerts too, perhaps later they wouldnt buy the dvd and cd (thats what they think), but the true is, that the fans will filming the concert and late will buy the dvd cos are trully fans and want that the group follows alive (not only with arashi, its something general in the world of the music >< )

True it illegal to film the concert. Maybe because they think it will cost them money eg people not going to concerts or buying the DVD. Kinda ridiculous since a fan-cam can never really replace a concert experince or a professionally done DVD.
On to the rest of my review. I'll make it short
A day in our lives
La tormenta & A.Ra.Shi
Ah good old classics. Some of my favourite especially A.Ra.Shi since that was the first PV i ever saw. Too bad the fan missed Matsujun portion of La tormenta. I was shouting 'he on the stage, the stage'
Easy Crazy Break Down/Jidai/Sakura Sake
What a pity I DL this last. One of the best clips for me. I am a sucker for good dancing and when you add in some of my favourite tunes i get hooked. The addition of part of Queen's 'we will rock you' was inspired.
The way some of the boys got on their knees to sing to their fans was nice and the way Nino 'collapse' on the stage and rolled around was funny in a nice way.

hey!!! that was MY line!! you stole it! lol!!
i do pity them now tho...but i guess we won't send them any more "OMG I LUV U! MARRY ME! I WORSHIP U!" then they already get from japanese and other asian fans...
thank goodness for screeners and the fact that most of the guys can't read english very well ^_^
also, as a side note...the person that taped the concert...they aren't that great...there is still plenty of shaking and bouncing and too quick movements...but I can't expect professional camera techniques and i am completely grateful for whatever they give...but they managed to do what very very VERY few people who have taped stuff before haven't managed to do....which was use the "ZOOM OUT" button..THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! zoom works both ways! and they used it!!! bless their heart!....there was few concentrated clips aside from the solos...nothing was more annoying than watching the spring 2001 concert and having the camera almost 99% close up on nino.

i bet they are not professional on that field, and there might be no place for him/her to put the camera so that it'll not shake... its forbidden to film it so for sure that person isnt using any camera stand... so quite understandable. but this one is much better than watching westsidestory. isnt it? all i can say is thankyou to that particular fan for sharing his/her wonderful clips out to all those who were not able to watch the concert.
dunadan/ battlegirlai
yeah pity them, but do they really read all those emails? maybe someone is reading it for them or is it they themselves who knows? anyway, all those emails are for their respective radio programs and not their personal emails....
now... continue with my downloads.... wow, how i love seeing that stage moving on sakura sake performance... rewatching it again _________________

Weclome Izukura! Please don't feel bad! Don't worry, you can practice your English here!
I used to feel really shy too, but now I have total fun here, whether anyone else reads my ridiculously long posts or not! Remember how we talked about the boys each knowing their place in the group? Sometimes I feel like I know my place here too (although there are still times when I don't ). I see a lot of you guys as my sempais and my new friends.
Flashback!

back to ohno being a leader, they made a good choice when they chose him in the utaban episode. still as a group, they are very cohesive... and i think that is what their new album is all about.. being individuals and yet as a group...
In that Utaban clip, everyone seemed to pick Ohno probably because he was the oldest, but even then Ohno knew Sho's leader-like personality and picked him instead. XD But what I think really helps defines Ohno's role as a Leader is his singing. It makes him stand out and allows him to take the lead in a lot of the songs, reflecting back in real life situations. But since Ohno is so short and shy and goofy that his kakkoii-ness on stage usually flies right out of the window. And even though Ohno himself admits he's not the traditional Leader, the reason he can fit this role is:
1) his seniority makes the other band members respect him (somewhat )
2) his singing and dancing talent makes fans and non-fans alike respect him
3) his stability as a good character who can make light of anything helps hold the group and create good relationships with the members and other professionals
Each member also has different unique qualities (like Ohno) that define his place in ARASHI. Over the years they've adjusted and grown accustomed to change as they matured. So as a whole group I can't imagine their roles being any different. They probably could stay afloat in solo careers if the band ever decided to suddenly break up (never! ), but together they really set sail and make an impact. I agree that the ONE album is probably the best showcase of this. For the first time, we get to hear each individual solo, see the parts more evenly distributed in groups songs (i.e. not always Leader ), and more different blendings of voices and partnerships that I haven't seen in past performances or songs. Each a different shaped cloud, but together an evolving ARASHI. They were asked which solo they liked, and to stand behind the member of the solo. In the end, the five of them stood one behind each other and formed a little circle. Aiba said, "This is what we mean by 'One'" End Flashback!
And thank you lorac81 for posting those e-mails! (I was the one who wanted them, the stalker in me, lol! )

I swear, I'm not going to send eccentric English-rambling fanmails! I just wanted to see if we could get our "Gross Food no Arashi" idea to them.

Anyway at the summer fest, there were many performances and guess what? They played 'Sakura Sake'. I was practically screaming at my friends and anyone around me.

ahhhh...time to add my review of one of the concert clips
the Ohmiya SK clip
damn cute!!! totally worth it just for the seesaw part!! very very cute! didn't understand even half of it because of the sound but oh well, its my adorable Ohmyia SK! but this is probably the most visually irritating one to watch so far...nonstop shaking but it does shake less thru some parts...so if you have a weak stomach...probably wait a few hours after eating to try this one.
and i wasn't complaining about the camera work...its way better than most.
also, they do have someone that screens the emails, i'm sure...thats what i meant by screeners
but...wouldn't the tips for the show go to the shows website and whatever email they provide? aren't those the emails for thier radio shows?

*shakesthemonitor* ... grrr! That's unfair ... my computer is too slow
I can't download the files ... I just got Jun's solo and Aibas's solo, waaaaih! Why's life so mean to me *burstoutintears*! Finally, I got a new obsession (ARASHI!!!!) and then I am not able to get the "good stuff".
As I said before, Jun's solo is just hilarious! After he did that really wonderful song "La Familia", he tried to be sexy and .... failed
hope, next time it's better *isoptimistic*.
About the pics I posted, I think it is one way to be useful to this wonderful forum! So, if someone knows, in which magazines they appear, I can just go and buy it for you guys. Let me know!
@fybabe: I already asked you, but here I go again: do you know some good shops in tokyo, where I can buy arashi stuff? i need the answer as fast as possible, because I will go to Tokyo this thursday.
onegai shimasu!
Thanks for the link but it doesn't seem to be working now.....
Gomen ne! Maybe the site is being updated? I have another post with both Top Secret MP3 and performance, so hopefully you can help out GacktSama with her translations! Please take anything else here that you want.
I agree ^^ I'm just glad the person seemed fairly impartial and steady...It only makes me want the dvd more...I'm glad they were generous as to share...It's illegal to take video, but come on, no one takes good enough quality fan cams to keep people from buying the official product (but I guess there are no camera rules for a reason..)
