my first impressions: just from some closeup pics, and know they are a band:

Jun: HOT from Gokusen of course. matured, mysterious, serious.
Nino: handsome face
Sho: plain. can't tell him apart from Aiba
Aiba: plain. can't tell him apart from Sho
Ohno: geez... no comments...

Now:

Jun: What a goof! Kawaii, awkward, sexy, vulnerably unconfident at times, beautiful, utterly imperfect but loveable. love his wide smile and laugh more than his coolness. the most complex guy in the bunch.

Nino: er... plain looking (but looking nicer nowadays honto!) but he's got the most character of the bunch. love his talent on song writing, don't like his voice though... everytime he throws a tantrum just wanna hug him coz he's actually a very frustrated guy... poor thing...

Sho: sexiest guy of the lot. better looking w/o the curly hair i think. but still kakkoi. smart, patient, respectable, but his character is the plainest of the lot.

Aiba: literally brainless and still plain looking. but the sportiest one and the best show host of them all.

Ohno: his looks are not his greatest asset but he's got too much talent to make up for that. talented singer and cartoonist. love his spaced out moments and suddenly coming back to earth and saying 'umai'! great dancer. great guy! thumbs up for him!

As an anime fan first (ARASHI fan a very close second ^^'), I just have to say this:
I have a feeling that there might be a flood of Sho fans (depending on Sho's perf ) in here. Like how many people come to know different anime, then go and see live-action doramas of their favorite series, and then get to know the actors (ie. Kimi wa Petto + Gokusen = Jun). Many of us have already followed that path here, gotten to know ARASHI, and now we love all our Stormy Boys.

I would think that the ARASHI fanbase can only grow from this announcement.
It will be very exciting to see if my prediction comes true...

On a more depressing note....
I have now been banned (by my sister ) from uploading anything.

This is due to the fact that both my laptop and the PC we share have been continually failing to properly start up. 1/10 times the PC will shut down before reaching the desktop, and my laptop now only works in "Safe Mode". I told her that uploading shouldn't have been causing these problems, but she says that these problems started when I started uploading things.
[she didn't say anything about downloads for myself, but there's really no point for me to watch anything since my laptop can't play videos in "Safe Mode" and my pc has no sound ]

If anyone can prove her wrong, please PM me! Until then, I can only repost the MegaUpload links that appear here at JATMUL and continue to archive moments and post in discussions.

Aiba : i think he's really an ordinary person..and cho-baka too..(referring to A no Arashi... Aiba's fan...gomen )
Matsujun : he's the hottest among them...(i'm saying this based on typical girl perception, well i'm saying that typical girls always go for that matsujun look ) but, i dun like him altho he has his own style...
Nino : yay...my fav... i think he's cute now and forever... and i think he's the cutest among them...well, it depends on how u define cute... he's an ordinary guy, but i dun know, when i look at him, i think he's special...
Ohno : ermm...what else can i say about him...the most funny guy...only by looking at his face when he does nothing can make me wanna laugh laugh out loud... he has this funny face...
Sho : hmm...based on look? i think he has that sexy look...

AHH!! I just heard about that Hachimitsu and Clover thing too!! I can't wait for Sho to do his first individual movie Seems like the director thought Sho was the perfect one because he looked naive and troubled just like the boy, and the looks were similar. I want to really see this!

Anyways, ohhh first impressions, interesting topic! I was another one who couldn't distinguish Aiba and Sho in the beginning, kept getting the two mixed up.

My first impressions and how i see each member when i first got to know them*don't flame me for this--

Ohno - the one with the nice blonde-ish hair and excellent vocals
Sho - most macho and the one who raps
Aiba - hyper, loud, and the talkative one in the shows. *laughs*
Nino - the short innocent one with the "EH!?" from Stand UP!!
Jun - Sawada Shin, the suave and reserved one who rarely talks

And now...months after listening and being a fan of Arashi, some of my first impressions of them are totally wrong. Like Nino being innocent, that would be a definite no. He is EVIL but I love Ni no Arashi XD

BTW, I saw the latest D no Arashi and the cotton candy segment of A no Arashi was quite amusing XD Nino seemed disappointed when he got 1 Aibachi. And I don't think Aiba's points matter to the show, he just gets points for A no Arashi haha

i dont know what year was it, but my first impression of arashi happens also to be their performance of Jidai on Popjam hosted by Koichi, dunno much about them nor what drama they have been :
impression no. 1 " Arent those kids supposed to be on the other show (shounen club) not this one? coz they look like those skinny kids on the s/c . (my rightful guess, they are also from johnny's)"
impression no. 2 : " they dont sing that well, maybe thats the reason i never pay attention to them back then. (even when i try to rewatch the show again on my vhs, ohno is kinda out of tune maybe coz it is live)"
impression no. 3 " they dance better than winds who were also performs around that time".

now everything changed after i saw them perform hero on the countdown, that reminds me, hey matsujun is from arashi, why did i forgot that

but...that wasn't the guy from V6....they said his name was Matsuda Okada...unless there is more than one okada in V6 than i know of...which is likely because i run screaming from most V6 stuff

It's a movie, it starts filming next month on the 24th, and will be released to theaters around summer of next year!

Sakurai Sho becomes a college student in his first independantly starring movie!

It is understood that on the 24th, Sakurai (23) of the popular group, Arashi, will be starring in the movie for the first time alone. It is based on cartoonist Chika Umino's popular comic"Honey and clover", having the same name as the original, about five men and women's love stories of youth that develop at a college. All five people dealing with the circumstances of unrequited love, and Sakurai performs as college student, Takemoto Yuuta, who has an awkward social position. The producer explains his appointment of Sho by saying that "The character is naive and worries, and even looks like him". Even Sakurai is enthusiastic, "We thought that we can create a work where the spirit and pain of gentle love in youth is experienced". Aoi Yuu (20), Iseya Yusuke (29) Kase Ryo (30), and Seki Megumi (19) are to unfold the love pattern with Sakurai. CM director Masahiro Takada (41) picks up the megaphone for the first time. It seems like it will become a refreshing romance movie by a fresh personnel. Opening to the public scheduled for next summer.
