so nepooh i have just started watching Stand UP!!! w/ ni chan and ahhh he's so kawaii in it! i cannot stop laughing...such a great drama demo...how many episodes are in it? tee hee i shouldnt be watching any dramas actually....gotta be doing homework! ahhh arashi is so distracting! but totally worthwhile...haha

So, to tide us over, there's another set of cam videos out - they're from one of the Yoyogi cons. I've only watched the first part so far, but they seem better than the first set. Looks like they'll cover the whole concert beginning to end, and you can see their dancing a lot closer/better (quality wise the video's a bit choppy at times and audio's a bit buzzy too) Anyway, you can get them in this clubbox Just do a search for 'yoyogi' if you want to find them easily. I tried to upload for non-clubbox peoples but my computer freaked out on me. Gomen!

FINALLY.... it is confirmed that matsujun is going to do the remake of Hana Yori Dango ( Meteor Garden in english) on TBS starting 10/21 10pm time slot, so he was not joking when he signed off on the videocon party in taipei as F4 matsujun at last a new drama for him ...

fychan, it might be not like that, u know how taiwanese love to drag scenes in making drama.... i did only manage to watch a couple of episode on that taiwanese version coz i cant stand looong drama and a blank acting skills ( sorry if there are any taiwanese f4 fans around) ... at least there is only a few dragging japanese drama that i can think of... an i have read a chapter or two of that manga few years ago ( on a semi monthly manga magazine or might be weekly ? forgot which magazine was it ) and not that bad... or else they wont be making it on a movie / drama...

Jun's version will probably follow the storyline of the manga more closely..hmmm..I don't know as I've never seen a Taiwanese drama, but I'll take everyone's word for it that it sucks...But that's not to say that Jun's "Boys Over Flowers" will be anything like "meteor Garden" as far as character development and manga adaptation...we'll have to wait and see I guess...I suggest reading the manga if you wantan idea as to how the story will unfold, not watchinmg the "meteor garden" drama...

wow..hana yori dango movie/dorama.. hopefully, it's not the same as the taiwanese version.. (sorry if there are any fans here of that one).. it's just that the artists CANNOT act!! and that they diverted from the story.. when i first heard of it, i was very excited because i've watched the anime (and loved it!) but when i saw the first episode of the taiwanese drama, i believe i cursed each and every one of them..

jun and oguri shun are much better actors so i hope that their version would be better and that they would closely follow the anime/manga.. what's more important is the character development and not looking cute for the fans..

I'm sorry, but there is NOTHING like this in the original story. True, Doumyouji does become attached to Makino, but believe me, he certainly doesn't pine after her like that! The way Doumyouji becomes overprotective, devoted, and even obsessive towards Makino is more scary borderline abusive than anything else, and I can totally see Jun in this role with that death glare of his.

Doumyouji doesn't always stay this way though, and goes through many character changes throughout the story, so I don't see how he could be a crybaby for all the eps (that would get boring, jeez...drama is all about conflicts that causes character development!). And Makino's character was never a dumbass either. She's stubborn, blunt, "spunky", and down-to-earth. Her main flaw is being naive and wishy-washy when it comes to Rui, Doumyouji, trust, and love (which is difficult sometimes).

I don't know where Meteor Garden went with the story, but this is NOT the HYD that I know.


That's why I must agree with GacktSama and lazy_bum (yay! I thought I was the only one has seen HYD before!) and say that everyone should give the anime and manga a chance first. Personally, I love the story (if you couldn't already tell ), so you can imagine how very excited I was to hear this news.

When I started the anime, I never thought I would watch all 51 episodes in 3 days... but I did it somehow! As for the manga, I hear that it kinda stretches after a while, but that's only expected from any long-term series manga-ka.

So I would suggest reading the anime episode summaries (or better yet, d/l a few if you can still find it). I really liked the pacing, the voice-acting, the way the characters were portrayed in style, and how it was keeping the same balance between drama and comedy as the manga. The place where they chose to cut off for the ending is pretty sweet too. The only downfall (what the review *points down* talks about) is that the animation is very plain. But then again, most animes are.

The end product will really come down to the whoever is doing the adaption, directing, and editing. I'm sure that Jun and Shun will perform wonderfully with whatever is given to them. We just have to hope that the vision for this version will produce a script worthy of them...

But since most JDoramas only last around 10 episodes, FAR less potential for dragging! Actually... I can see where it would be hard to condense this story into so few episodes... *wonders what events the writers will pick to be film*

i have a little question and i know this isnt the place, but since most of you use it i was wondering whether you can help me. i have been using clubbox for a while and recentl my comp froze so i switched it of and now when i click dl and the second button on the pop up, i only get the message saying "click" for the program, i used to get those befoore but if i did it a couple of times it used to dl, ive been on all the tutorials that is practically listed out ther but i cant find anything on it,

im desperate, just when i started to get the hang of it :bleh:

No problem! When it comes to anime (and ARASHI) I don't shut up... XD

I just don't understand why MG would portray Doumyouji this way! Whenever he got "lovesick" in HYD, I thought he would actually hit Makino or something! He becomes insanely jealous and has a temper that matches his ego!

Jun is still young-looking enough to pull off high-school.
But maybe they'll set it at the university level as well. Quick remedy when all the good actors start growing up, lol! Actually, in the anime I remember there being a sister university right next to the high school (omg, there's such a great beginning scene that takes place in the university cafeteria), so it works!
