Hi everyone. im new here..just want to say that recently i became a fan of kyoko fukada since i watch her drama 'friends'. i like her coz she's got a cute face and like her acting too. i havent watch all her dramas yet but recently i brought friends and her old drama which she stars with takeshi kaneshiro..i guess.. i forgot his name and the drama..hehe..

Yep, she is. Her character is particularly cute, but she too suffers the fate of cute girls in such movies (just take Takeuchi Yuko's character *winces*). I really don't know what it is with Japanese horror movies and letting the cute girls die first *wincewince*. (Interestingly Kanae in the Ring 2 manga has quite a few similarities with Kyoko).

Kanae bites the dust after some 50 minutes. Before that she copies the Ring movie for a journalist who promises her to watch it, which he doesn't. So she has to die. Her scene when she hands over the video is particularly cute. Kyoko's doing a good job as scared-to-death Kanae.
But in the end she comes back. The journalist ends up in a mental asylum; there a nurse takes a picture of him with a polaroid camera (for the files); she walks out, waits for the film to develop; then she looks at it, stares at it... we cut into the journalist's room and then we hear a giggle... Behind him Kanae appears and giggles... cut, scene over, movie over

yes i too was disappointed at yuko's demise why couldn't she die at the end?!
