my dictionary is says }K is a way to mention Japan. Literally the land east of China.
also u means cotton rose or lotus but alone has no reference to plants in my electric dictionary. Just an old meaning thats not used anymore meaning was complicated and too difficult for me to translate from Japanese : /
Thank you all for you help. I've found the character that I needed translated in the above response. It is u. It is part of the two word describing the flower but only this word appears in my name. Again, I greatly appreciate the effort you guys gave. Arigatou!

you know, not all foreign names have a kanji. although it may have a literal meaning, but usually, it may be just a literal meaning. anicasia may sound great in it's native tongue, but i doubt anyone in JPN may name their girl "Ȑ" which translate into "queen of the mountain", literally.
there are katakana, however, to fit your need:
AjJVAAor what about even:
nCW

Gosh, Yama-no-Joou, or simply Yamajoou. It sounds like something from the older times (feudal Japan)
it's better than some of the names from that era, such as kamado (oven/stove) or ushi (cow), etc. You know dochira, they prolly don't believe it, but those are some real names from pre-showa times for woman.
im having a problem viewing characters, i kepp seeing only the little square box, anyone know how to fix this? im using opera.
oh and could someone translate my name? i might be visiting japan soon and it might be fun to know.
