Maybe not best to talk about it in this thread... Even though you write spoiler it's probably easy to see by accident for a person browsing. I recommend now that I'm giving the answer you edit your post and remove the spoiling info. I'll answer really small so just cut and paste into notepad.
is it how we shall see@interpret theending.... i watched the ending but kindda blur.. thanx YUJI for explaining...

I didn't really like this series that much. I felt that the side plot with Yuji and Sonim was too much of a focus, rather than on Aya and Fujiki's plot. The extremity of the situations in the Yuji plot kind of veered my attention to that. As a result, I just didn't really care about the relationship between Hina and Koga-sensei. And combine that with some really slow parts, and it was pretty disappointing overall. Though I love Aya, this role makes her feel like a Kyoko Fukada clone. Though these sort of roles are necessary to add depth to her repetoire, I preferred her performance much more in My Little Chef.

hmmm... is there a special?? ij ust finished watching it///.. finally... and just wanted to know if koga's still alive or dead... if dead.. wat happened to hina?? if alive... wat about them?? they get expelled?? or they just togeter till forever??
any news???
btw.. i think the bad guy yuji character's interesting and fujiwara's character (yup.. the corrupted english teacher) is sick.. very the sick...
and koga's really bad and Hina's dumb and forgiving...
but the bottomline.. got me hooked and i finished the drama... just need to know the results... is he dead or alive??
Fujiki and Aya look so cute together.......I cry throughout the whole drama... I really do wish we have a happy ending instead of this "guessing" ending........

Is it just me, or are any other girls disturbed by the age differences in Koukou Kyoushi? Tejima is 20 years Fujimura's junior. And of course the teacher is always 15 years older than the high school girl. Then there's the doctor who is probably 15 years older than our hero. What do any of these people have in common! _________________

Yea....quite a big age difference between the characters in love with one another in the drama. It didn't bug me all that much since the story was pretty good and the acting was good too
@paomei: I was given the impression that he did _________________
The storyline simply sucks with all those sick characters in it, with the exception of Aya-chan of course. Gave up watching after Ep7 and 33 bucks down the drain!!!

ok, i just finished watching this series. i liked it overall but some parts just really disturbed me. i love the relationship between koga and hina, even though there's an age gap. plus, he's cute so that's totally understandable, and love knows no age difference.
i'm really confused as to whether he died or not. they never say! did he?!? _________________

Just finished with this series. I think that the acting was very good from Ueto and Fujiki, but the story was pretty intense.
For most of the series, (probably until Ep 8 or 9) I had a VERY hard time sympathizing with Koga's charactor. I coudn't find any acceptable excuse for him telling her that she was going to die, and then continuing to let her believe it after seeing how much distress it was causing her. I've come to realize that I don't know exactly how it would feel to know you are dying soon and that you are all alone, so I can't really judge him, but I hope that if I were in the same situation, that I would never do something like that.
I didn't like the ending either, no reason for them to have left it unanswered as to whether or not he dies. They should have E N D E D it IMO. Nice love story tho

Heya, I just finished watching the 1990s edition of kou kou kyoshi and even though it is 4am where i am, I know i will not be able to sleep leaving these questions unanswered. So here I go...
The ending doesn't make sense. Did Hamura (the teacher) and Mayu (high school student) die together in the train at the end? Or did they just fall asleep? I watched the scene over and over and I just couldn't see any signs of blood or messy suicide wounds. Did they just take lots of sleeping pills? if so i must have missed that particular scene. Or were they so tired after all that train journey, they just fell asleep?
And let's work on the assumption that they didn't die. Judging from the dramatic scene with all those cops dispatched to the train station, they would probably get arrested. And what? I mean the teacher looks so ready to confess so what will he be charged with? Manslaughter? I mean there's so many grey areas u know... Like the fact that, the pervert artist father did set the fire himself resulting in his death. Even though he was originally stabbed by the teacher but he was still alive for long enough to return home and engaged in chit chat. So if he had been brought to a hospital instead of setting the fire, he might have lived.
And with Mayu's statement that she was the victim of incestous rape, and the teacher was just trying to protect her... I can see a happy ending. I mean Mayu officially graduated at the end right? She's legal now. And without the burden of a pervert dad. Yes, if they could just see their way to hiring a really good lawyer, even that manslaughter charge might be dodged. And as the only living offspring of that pervert but rich artist, they could have a nice future together. AND they didn't think of all that? Come on!
This is just so pointless... What am i saying? damn... i even skipped dinner to watch the show... And there were scenes so touching it made me want to erm... I am a guy so I am just gonna say 'make me want to drink more beer' I am not going to use the 3 letter C word.
