There was a dorama back in the late 1990's that featured a blind girl and her dog named "Happy".
That's right. There was Happy 1 and 2, starring Takaoka Saki and Toyohara Kosuke.

you forgot the series of Hoshi no kinka 1 [̋] and the sequel. Sorry, phalos. I can't think of a dorama with a blind character off the top of my head...
How did I forget this one??? It just shows that trying to do work without eating is not good.

Good day. I am new, and hope that I will learn much from the posts at this site.
I was born nearly blind. I have a bit of sight, but may lost it within the next few years. Anyway, I stumbled upon a JDrama called "Koinu no Waltz". I saw a clip with the equivelent of American DVS narration, and I couldn't contain myself. It's hard enough finding American DVS stuff!
Are there any other JDrama that have VI / Blind characters? I am also studying Japanese. (demo, ore wa warui desu yo!)
I'd like to pass these onto my other VI friends and discuss them.
Thanks in advance,
-phalos
Hello Phalos!
Wow you were able to find jdorama with DVS that is sooo cool! My dad is also visually impaired and he like to watch dramas with subs when he could see, but since he can't see the screen well enough anymore...I usually read subs and describe scenes for him.
Anyway...
Itoshi Kimi E starring Fujiki Naohito and Miho Kanno is about a photographer who develops an eye disease that will cause him to lose his sight.
I am sorry to hear about the condition of your vision. Thoughts and prayers to you.
I'm currently downloading Ai Nante Iraneyo, Natsu. Finally, I'll be able to watch this drama . I've been waiting for a long time to watch this because you rarely see seeders for this drama . _________________

I was wondering if anyone knew any dramas that resembled Nobuta? I would watch Beautiful Life or Sekai, but after watching 1 Litre of Tears, I don't think I could stand the prospect of seeing another tearjerker for awhile. So, what I'm looking for is something entertaining, funny, but also contains a few serious moments. It would be nice if it was a high school drama, because I'm a sucker for those.

Hi to everyone here, i'm a big fan of jap dramas and would like to know if there is any ppl outhere would offer any recommendations to nice japanese dramas??(preferably soap)
Have watched sekai no chuushin de ai wo sakebu and felt that it was ,was wondering whether there is anything close to that or nicer??
i think the only dorama close to that would be ichi rittoru no namida. enjoy it!
Just completed Midnight Rain...probably among the best jdoramas I've seen. Has a somewhat incredulous plot but the script, music, acting are all excellent. Quite a captivating story - didn't expect this dorama to hook me like it did. I'd definitely recommend this drama if you're looking for a good mystery. _________________

haven't watched it per se but i have skimmed quickly thru it and it seems to closely resemble the anime. if i do watch it, it'll have to be when english subs come out unless i cn find a way to speed up from my 1 hr to watch 7-8 mins ratio with chinese subs...
