I haven't seen as nearly as much at Tu, but i have seen my fair share, and there are some, that you would rather skip on....and some worth not skipping on...like GTO, start with that one, and go thru the good list of j-dramas, and you will be coming back for more.

without Bittorent, this is not at all possible...
the land of j-dramas..............

but of course direct download...but that is tougher, to get someone to upload it for you..

youtube is another kind of direct download. You can watch some dramas and many animes with subtitles on Youtube but the quality isn't as good as the one you download from bittorrent or other file-sharing software.

umm.....As of recent, Attention Please comes to mind.
Ueto Aya plays a Rock Singer who ends up trying to become a Cabin Attendent. I think it might be what you're looking for, plus its definately worth watching. If you don't mind watching it RAW....the last ep comes out Tuesday. If you need subs, Kioku has released eps 1-7 on Jpopsuki Tracker.

I'm trying to think of other dramas....but can't come up with any. Sorry

hey =) .. i'm quite new here.. i registered some time ago ..but my internet connection was down =( .. so i'm back again =) ..

I need some recommendations on japanese dramas..

I've only finish watching one whole drama, which is nobuta wo produce, recommended by a friend.. and I must say that I really enjoyed the drama. I also loved its storyline which is a wonderful change from all the love triangle dramas i've been watching so far (mostly korean and taiwan dramas) .. I also watched a few episodes of Gokusen and Gokusen 2. And that's about all my knowledge for J doramas =( .. I'm now trying to watch more though, so I hope people here can help me. Thanks in advance! Arigato ^_^..

p.s: are kurosagi , densha otoku and anego worth watching?? I enjoyed YamaPi's acting very much in nobuta.. so i was thinking maybe i want to watch another drama by him ..but then again, people often say ..don't choose a drama by its cast..

Kurosagi is a modern day Robing Hood to sum it up. At least thats what i get after watching 4 eps. Its ok....i mean its interesting and all, but doesn't hit you like Nobuta does.

Densha Otoku is a must watch. I'll leave it at that

Other dramas I recommend are
1.Attention Please
2.Orange Days
3.GTO since you haven't seen it.
4.Last Christmas
5.Kisarazu Cats Eye.

Good mix of Comedy and Romance for ya

I would like to recommend "Ima Ai Ni Yakimasu" (I'm Coming Home Now)...starring Hiroki Narimiya..i think it's very sweet and teaches a great deal about how love is a real commitment...I dont wanna say anything more cus I might blurt out spoilers ^^

Anego isn't bad - Shinohara Ryoko really brings the whole cast together but if you like jin, you'll probably like this one even more

kurosagi was not as good as i would have hoped it to be, again, if you like yamapi then you'll probably like this one

densha otoko is worth watching since its very different from the usual

i'd also recommend hana yori dango, good luck!! in addition to KT's post

edit: if you wanna see maki in a much better performance watch the 2005 movie Always San Chome...it's a heartwarming affair with better acting and more evocative storytelling!

how about "Tokyo Friends" ? If you like Ai Otsuka and her music, then it's a must-see. It's a 5 episode special drama and the batch torrent is available on D-Addicts.
