i have watched summer snow and moto kare..

Oyaji is a fun, well casted family dorama...if you enjoy ryoko hirosue I think you'll enjoy this dorama. All the actors/actresses play their respective roles very well.

You might want to try Jikou Keisatsu Joe Odagiri and Kumiko Asou are man and woman police partners, there's no romance, the thing is, the comedy is so odd and quirky, you'll either "get it" and think its great, or you won't "get it" and think it sucks.

Hi
can anyone recommend a good dorama that is fun to watch (funny at times, not too serious). It can be old or new dorama, as long as it's not older than 1997. It can be comedy, romantic comedy, school life, etc... as long as it's not too serious like purely romance or the jokes are too lame.
I just finished watching Oyaji and I think it's great. It has good story, and can be funny at times.

I'd try either Nodame Cantabile or Kekkon Dekinai Otoko...both are great romatic comedies that are easy to watch and very funny.
I've lost interest in Japanese dramas for a while but after watching part of Nodame Cantabile, I am hooked again.
Am wondering if you can recommend me titles along the lines of Nodame Cantabile and Power Office Girls. I like stuff with quirky characters and humour. I'm not big on tragic romances.

Every extensive, but i liked them all.
Now from looking at what i like, can anyone recommend me any shows.

seen those before and watching hana kimi. Though havent seen nodame cantabile, but i did watch the anime and it wasnt really romance so havent gotten around to checking out the dorama version yet.
