Heres a really silly Anime Style JDorama we watched the last few days. It aired on tv tokyo since oct 2007...

Yes, its a dorama version of the classic anime, but it happily plays tongue-in-cheek with every anime clichee and stereotype one can think of (obviously start with ... fan service... Victory! Peace! ).

25 episodes in typical handy 20minute anime episode duration Sweat ...

Oh, thanks.

Now that you've told me, I can see part of it on the picture.

I've seen the live-action movie and I knew there was an anime, but I didn't know there was a series too Mr Green

A.D.

The problem is... Eriko Sato doesn't play Cutie Honey in the TV series.

I was hoping someone could help me... I've watched quite a few doramas in the past 3 month, and now I don't know what to watch next? >_>

Doramas I DON'T want to watch (because I've tried them or I don't like the plot) are Kekkon Dekinai Otoko, historical/horror dorama, Taiyou no Uta and Honey&Clover (although I love ikuta touma ._.)
Sport-Dorama aren't a no-no but they should focus on other things too óo
And I guess I'm not exactly the target audience for Doramas that focus on middle aged people with working/family problems.. :x

So I really appreciate your recommendations <3

Here's the list of doramas I've watched so far (the doramas marked with a '*' are the ones I liked best)

1. * 14 Sai no Haha
2. *1 Litre of Tears
3. + SP Episode
4. 1 Pound Gospel
5. *Akihabara@Deep
6. Attention Please + SP Episode
7. Bambino
8. *Daisuki!!
9. Gachibaka
10. Ganbatte Ikimasshoi
11. Gokusen Season 1
12. GTO
13. *Nodame Cantabile + SP
14. *Hana Kimi
15. Hana Yori Dango Season 1+2
16. Hanayome to Papa
17. Hotaru no Hikari
18. Ikebukuro West Gate Park
19. Itazura na Kiss (Romance, High School) [4/10]
20. Jodan ja nai!
21. Kimi Wa Petto
22. *Kurosagi
23. Liar Game
24. *My Boss My Hero
25. Mukodono 2003
26. *Nobuta wo Produce
27. Papa to Musume no Nanokakan
28. *Proposal Daisakusen
29. Sappuri
30. Seito Shokun
31. Shiwase Ni Naritai
32. Sore wa totsuzen arashi no you ni
33. Stand up
34. Swing Girls (Film)
35. *Tatta Hitotsu no Koi
36. Tiger & Dragon
37. Utahime
38. *Yukan Club
39. Yamada Taro Monogatari

I'm not so sure about that one because she says that she's "not exactly the target audience for Doramas that focus on middle aged people with working/family problems." Sweat

@Yola

I had a long think, may be
Summer Snow (this should be a winner for you)
Beach Boys (although this one does focus on grown men with problems, they are not middle-aged yet i.e. 30-40)

It isnt really though. It is about the son as much as the father certainly. And Yola likes a sobfest. Yasashii makes for regular weeping.
Besides it is a great drama. Everyone should see it. Mr Green

I think they were in their mid-twenties in that one Sweat

**feeling old**
Love BEach Boys though!! Thumbsup

Ah, that's true. And if it's a sobfest that she wants, then this sounds like a good one. Smile

Speaking of sobfests, I know this is a "drama" recommendation thread, but what about Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu, the movie version? That was a really great one and I heard that it was better then the drama version.
