Pretty good. Perhaps a little bit over-the-top but it was addicting enough. Really short episodes too so you can finish it fast.

Depends on your taste. It's a 10/10 for me. I'm pretty unforgiving with ratings when it comes to drama that is not up to my taste. But LIFE is one of the three 10/10 to me among 20+ that I've watched.

Will you go on an exchange programme? How's your Japanese?
yup, I'll stay at a host family and go to high school - for 11 month.
You can't imagine how glad I am that my dream is finally coming true! *-* (i didn't think it would happen anymore, since the next year is supposed to be my year of graduation ... but suddenly my parents agreed and I'll 'lose' one school year by going abroad)
I'm learning japanese but ...well... I can say the most important things I guess, but in the first month I'll hardly understand anything, I think...
@ topic:
my mother said she'd love to watch a comedy drama that takes place in a
hostpital.
I think I've read about such dramas somewhere in this thread (or somewhere else..?) but I can't find them anymore ....
I think one of them also was in the category "Fantasy"? Oo

If you can use torrents its under the title From The Heart at d-addicts. Don't really get why it's named that considering the japanese title
Thank you! ^^
Yeah, the different names are frustrating. I was looking for Flowers for Algernon, and it had two different japanese names (or tranlated japanese names).

How about Nurse no Oshigoto? There are 4 seasons all together, I think, but I'm not sure which one is the best.

I was curious about this series. What did you think about it, if you have watched it already? It sounds quite promising from the few comments on this site.

I actually haven't seen it...I haven't had the chance. But I saw some clips from Nurse no Oshigoto 4 quite awhile ago, and they were quite hilarious in a silly way

@sucigam: Ahh, thanks that you reminded me!
I knew about this title and found the torrents, but back then I couldn't download .torrent files! However some days ago I managed to get Azureus to work.. Ahh, looking forward to that drama <3
@mint: Ah, it seems to be quite funny! The fact that there are so many seasons makes me somehow reluctant to watch this, but it'd be bad to miss a great Drama òo so I think I'll check it out ^^

Hello everyone, long long time no see. (been a year or so eh? )
I've been away from the J-drama world for quite a long time and looking for a good drama to watch.
I think I posted a favorite list list back in page 120 or so, but here is an up to date list.
Favorites:
-1 Liter of Tears
-My Boss My Hero
-Proposal Daisakusen
-Nobuta wo Produce
-Kurosagi
-Hanazakari no Kimitachi e
-Hana Yori Dango (1 and 2)
-Nodame Cantabile
Top one being most favorite, to least (keep in mind they still all my favorites, just preference if I had to rank them).
Thanks in advance, looking forward to hear your recommendations.

I was able to watch the first episode of "elite yankee saburo" and hahha is hilarious (in a stereotypical way). Reminded me a bit of "My Boss My Hero".
Oh a heads up/warning to those who haven't watch it, it has some nudity (breast) scenes, other than that is pretty mild (at least till now).

I've been watching a few random j-dramas that I've completely fallen in love with... but that has made me a bit scared to branch out and watch different ones. Could anyone recommend some dramas that are similar to the ones I've been watching, either in actors or genre?
I've watched:
Hana Yori Dango (Both Seasons)
Hana Kimi
Liar Game
Tadashii Ouji no Tsukurikata
DD-Boys
Honey and Clover
Akihabara@DEEP
Delicious Gakuin
Gokusen
Detective Conan Live Action (Does this count though?)
My absolute favorite from all of those was Hana Yori Dango because it has a lot of romance, very funny scenes, and I'm familiar with the actors. Hana Kimi pulls a close second only because it has more comedy than actual romance, and Liar Game is third (I love psychological thrillers ^_^)
If anyone knows of a romance or romance-comedy (or any other genre blended with romance) that is similar to and/or has familiar characters, could you please tell me? I really want to watch more!! Onegaishimasu!!!!!
**I'm also open to shonen-ai or yaoi dramas, though I find they're harder to find. I'd also like for the drama to have subs. I know I'm reeeeeeeeally picky, gomen!!
