So my girlfriend & I finished Last Christmas over the break, and we're working on Hotaru no Hikari. With the economy down and both of jobs slowing, we need somthing with a happy ending. Any recommendations?
And just for me, any classics? Preferably something where I can spot old cars and motorcycles.

Hello everyone, this is my first post but I was hoping this website will help me with some suggestion on some new JDramas. I have about a week off from school so yeah I'm just trying to watch a new drama. I've asked couple of places but they were no help at all. Even though I told them not to reply with a drama name that is already in the list below they still do ... Some people just don't understand. Crazy I really hope you guys/girls can help me out! Big Grin
So the type of JDrama I'm looking for are preferred to be in the genre ; romance/comedy, school-life/comedy, mystery/comedy
And here's a list of jdrama that I already saw and have it on my HDD and can watch it again anytime, please do not give me a name that is already here in this list. Thank you, gladly appreciate it!!

Not actually mystery (but they were scheming to steal stuffs) & not actually school life (they are schoolmates though) but Kisarazu Cats Eye is a pretty fabulous comedy. School life/comedy genre would be Stand Up! (Completely wacky for the first half of the series but wrapped it up wonderfully with life lessons on friendship & love by the end of the series) For romance/comedy genre I recommend Anego (Office Lady lovelife) & Kimi wa Petto (some were freaked out by the thought of owning a human pet but its an interesting perspective. I like it a lot and Jun was at his best)

Wow, I'm really impressed. Finally some people that give some good list of dramas that is not over-posted. At least they are different from the list I gave. Well thank you all so much, I'll be sure to check em out.
Another great romance/comedy/family drama is Mukodono
The first episode (subbed) on utube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUxv_6P9bQY
Its about a very popular male idol (Tomoya Nagase as Sakuraba Yuichiro). He's cool and gorgeous as an artist but his real personality is actually loud, childish and homey.
The theme song is beautiful too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMKRpVcLXMk

Which one, the 2003 one right? I wanted to watch it but then again on another forum I heard some bad reviews on it. Can you tell me a bit more about the series please. Thanks. ~

Like on the link xploring posted, its the original Mukodono (2001). You can also read the summary there. I think it got an average 8 rating. Pretty good.
The 2003 wasn't that bad too but not as good as the original. Both are entertaining. I rated the original as 8/10 and the Mukodono 2003 a 7/10.

personally i love Japanese detective novels, esp. those of Matsmoto Seicho. so when i found out that there were jdoramas based on his works, I was more than excited. the recent adaptions with Ryoko Yonekura in the lead role are just AMAZING. i highly recommend them:

Hello fellow JDorama fans, I was wondering has anyone here seen the Anego Special? I was a fan of the series but was a bit disapointed at the ending. I just noticed today that on this site when you search Angeo, it comes up saying 10 episodes and 1 Special. Not 100% sure but I think this is the first time that I've seen that there is a Special. Is this Special fairly new? Has anyone saw it, and if so, do you recommend it without giving anything away? Also where can I get find it?
