slight ground saturation from the light rain we received last night. Temps still below normal, but that will thankfully change this week. Bonk

Just in time for baseball season, eh. Rogers Centre has a dome doesn't it?

Speaking of which, hope it stops raining by Thursday here. Sweat

Edit: I hope everybody noticed I spelled "Centre" correctly, in Canadian, not Amurican "center". Sensei's getting me a little more trained every day. Wink

Yup. I feel ya. I had lunch with a buddy of mine at the Century City Plaza food court (went to Ajisen Ramen for the first time...had their Veggie Ramen) and it was nice walking around given the weather and the fact that it's an open air mall.

I, too, hadn't been there in years...they've totally remodeled the food court (and parts of the mall) which now features an outdoor terrace with seating under patio umbrellas, in addition to the completely remodeled interior food court. It looks really nice.

Interesting trend with some malls: first they're outside, then they're inside, then back outside again... The mall in PV is like that. Crazy

That's so true! The trend is currently toward outdoor shopping venues.

We went to the mountains to shoot the final scene of our movie. The snow was about 8-10 feet deep and so soft and slushy that I sank in up to my hips! Snow shoes would be in order for that kind of oobleck. Mr Green

Strong storm batters central Florida

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Powerful winds, severe thunderstorms and some tornadoes are sweeping across Tampa Bay and central Florida.

St. Petersburg Fire Rescue said Thursday that a tractor-trailer was blown over on its side and fell on two vehicles. All of the people involved declined medical treatment.

At the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Airport, several small planes were blown over and there are multiple reports of downed trees and power lines.

Winds gusted up to 90 miles per hour in Tampa, and emergency crews were responding to a report of a building collapse with no injuries.

A janitor at an elementary school in a suburb northwest of downtown Tampa was taken to a hospital after he lightning struck near him.

It was the second day of strong storms in the region.
