Mine dropped a heck of lot more but then my fridge was ancient, heavy, and power hungry.

I hear ya.

According the the energy tag for my new fridge, it's supposed to only consume about $60 of electricity for the entire year... Shocked

I know it's crazy. I think mine has hamsters that manufacture ice cubes so it uses less electricity.
