Re: Japanese Typhoon news:
Here is what my friend who lives near Kobe had to say about the typhoon in Japan this evening at 6:00PM EST my time, which would be early Friday morning her time.
"Typhoon is now going through Chiba and Ibaragi Pref and then will go out over the Pacific Ocean. One dead and some injured."
@qilver:

I heard on this evening's news that there are rolling black outs taking place in CA now. That might explain why some of our CA crew are MIA this evening. Hope CA gets its' power restored soon.

Re: Nagoya and the typhoon:
Heard from my friend in Japan this morning..."Nagoya is safe, and typhoon is now over the sea."
Re: CA rolling black outs:
I hope all of the CA crew has some cooler weather today.
Re: Long Island, NY weather:
We are expected to be sunny and in the mid 80sF and tonight we will have more muggy weather. The weather people keep saying that we will see part of hurricane Katrina (now in FL) by Tues. Lets hope Hurricane Katrina is kinder as she moves away from Florida.
Re: Hurricane Katrina update in Florida: (sad to say)
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Hurricane Katrina flooded streets, darkened homes and felled trees with wind gusts reaching 92 mph as it plowed through South Florida and emerged over the Gulf of Mexico early Friday. Four people were killed and 1.3 million customers were left without power.
