This image came out of her Taiwan photobook Shinin' Run (1991). The concert she held there is totally awesome!!!! There's a DVD video of it floating around... Here's a scan of the front cover from one of my finest treasures from the physical Sakai Noriko Shrine... An autographed copy!!!!!

Well, seeing it's the holiday season, I thought of doing something special for Noriko-chan fans all over planet Earth, and other galaxies I can't think of right now...
Below are four MTV files I'm offering... I'll leave them up until the end of this month.
Aoi Usagi - 29.9MB, B-/B grade
This is the opening theme to Heaven's Coins 1. In this one, Noriko-chan cranks out the hand sign. According to several interviews I've read, she worked very hard at learning sign in prepration for her character, Kuramoto Aya.

Yokogao - 50.5MB, B+/A- grade
This is one of my five all-time favorite Nori-P songs, also off of her CD Work Out Fine. And it's one of three songs (the other two being Aoi Usagi and Hohoemi Wo Mitsuketa) that I actively sing at karaoke bars.

Best thing to do is to download a file completely to your hard disk before playing. My server doesn't provide multimedia streaming. Enjoy!
The next few images are from the April 2003 issue of Saita. BTW, pinks and other pastels are my favorite colors, not because of the images you're about to see... That's just sheer coincidence!
The first one is the opening image, featuring Noriko-chan along with Fujiwara Michiko. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Michiko is a fashion designer/expert. In the magazine, Michiko is promoting a line of make-up products...
The next image is of Noriko-chan showing off some blush make-up around her eyes. I don't wear make-up myself, so the terminology I'm using may be wrong. I'm not Gene Simmons, y'know!!!! heheeh...
The next image is Noriko-chan showing off some eye liner. That stuff really brings out the whiteness out of her eyes, doesn't it????
Happy Holidays, everyone!!!! Did you get what you wished for????
Besides being a singer, actress, and a great mommy, Noriko-chan also endorses products. You really don't see this sort of thing in the United States, such as Britney Spears promoting a grocery store chain, or Jennifer Lopez complaining of back pain or headaches... Japanese stars seem to be a lot more humble when it comes to using their fame to promote even the simplest of products. Noriko-chan is known for promoting products for companies, including:
- Kampo
- ARAX products
- JR (the Japan-based train company)
- Glico (the maker of Pocky sticks and other junk food)
Matter of fact, Noriko-chan has been endorsing products since she first came out in '86. And, in 1991, she released a 15-minute CDV (a CD-sized laser disc) containing just her commercials. Here are three ads she appeared in for ARAX:

Here are three images from Noriko-chan's 1998 Work Out Fine Tour. That would be her last tour before conforming to a miminal schedule and very little public appearances... Soon after, the pregnancy and the shotgun marriage occured.
I'm lucky enough to own the photo book of this Tour, which you could get only if you attended the concert. Gotta love Yahoo Japan!!!!!
No argument there. Too bad most of the sellers can't ship internationally... Oh man, I wish my cousin was still living in Japan... I hit her up big time.

A copy of Noriko-chan's 2000 Asia Tour concert book is up for bid on Yahoo Japan... Starting bid is about $100.00 USD, with seven days to go. I'm seriously thinking about grabbing it. There are some really awesome photos in there!!!! Here's a sample:
My quest right now is to own every one of her concert books. I have her Magical Montage and Work Out Fine tour books so far, and I'm also seeking out her Mammoth book. Very difficult to track these since there aren't any good resources on the web or elsewhere.

Yow, $100 is a big hit. Good luck with that. I'm sure you have a bidding strategy all planned... I bungled an eBay bid on Ryoko-chan's book Tough and haven't recovered since...
I've been off from work the past four days. And I'm ready to go back tomorrow, working three more days, then four MORE days off. I can see the religious and other spiritual aspects of the holiday season... But admit it -- you LOVE the days off, don't ya???? C'mon!!!! Admit it!!!!
Anyway, here's a great way to end the night with several photos my sweetheart...
"*sob* I feel soooooo ashamed... Please be gentle..."
"groink! Turn that TV off, get your butt out there and mow the lawn."
"It's a wonderful day in the neighborbood... Won't you be mine...."
