Here's some news about Rina and an upcoming special she will be starring in Big Grin

On Nov. 1, a new 5,000 yen bill will be released into circulation featuring
the likeness of Ichiyo Higuchi, one of Japan's most famous women writers.
Higuchi is the second woman writer to have her face grace a piece of
Japanese currency, following Murasaki Shikibu's appearance on the rarely
seen 2,000 yen bill. Actually, no one really knows what Murasaki looked
like, since she lived a thousand years ago, but Higuchi, who died at the age
of 24, is more familiar since she lived during the Meiji era.

On Monday at 9 p.m., TBS will present a drama special about Higuchi, which
was a pen name. Natsuko (Rina Uchiyama) wants to go to school, but her
mother believes education is wasted on girls and makes her quit. Natsuko's
father, feeling sorry for her, encourages her to enroll in a private poetry
class run by the famous writer Utako Nakajima. Natsuko enjoys the class, but
then her older brother and father die in quick succession, leaving the
remaining family members in debt. Natsuko quits to take sewing jobs, and
then hears that a former classmate has sold a novel to a publisher. She
decides she can do that, too.

Sounds like an actual role. I think she'll do fine, even though she's mainly played the "flower vase" roles up until now. Funny, but her best role was in S.O.S. (which sucked overall).
