I think it is nice that he can be both beautiful and handsome at the same time. Thanks for this photo Stevie. Recently I have been watching the TV show RuPaul's Drag Race. It is on the LOGOTV channel and a competition to choose the champion Super Star Drag Queen. The winner for this season was already chosen and now I am watching re-runs. I have never seen a Drag Queen performance in person, but that TV show has taught me how much work, effort and courage it takes to be one. I know that in some forms of Japanese theatre the women's parts are played by men and they are not considered to be Drag Queens. For whatever reason Gackt is dressed that way, my hat is off to Gackt for dressing up as a Geisha!

Enna,
I was born and raised in UK so men on stage playing female roles was always accepted. Even comedians who were very famous would want to play the funny female roles in Christmas Pantomimes. Mother Goose would always be played in funny drag by a man. In Cinderella the sisters would be a duo comedian pair. .. and the leading man would always be played by a woman!! Usually a famous/ singer dancer/ actress. With good legs in tights... These pantomimes would play from Christmas to Easter in all the theatres in London and provinces. They were also on radio and would always be listened to even without seeing the performance. It's a cultural thing. After all Shakesperian plays only had male performers.
Therefore it is normal for me to see Japanese men playing female roles. All the famous Kabuki actors have played women and some only play female roles.
You should see Takuya Kimura as a beautiful geisha doing a great dance with very serious attitude. He gives it the same amount of attention as he does to playing a samurai.
Gackt looks great and I wonder what he is doing here. It's more than just a gag I think.

@ HI brad2: Thanks for telling me about the history of Drag in UK. In the early 70s I lived in London for about a year and I remember going to see a movie with a well known Drag Queen as its' star. Unfortunately I can't recall the comedian's name right now. Kabuki must be so beautiful to see in person!
In the US the only 2 comedians that I can recall that dressed up in women's clothing as part of their acts were Milton Berle and Flip Wilson.
Oh Kimu Taku as a Geisha! With those beautiful soulful eyes! Be still my heart!!!
I didn't think Gackt's Geisha performance was a gag, did it sound that way in my original post? I hope not.
The art of male actors dressing up and performing as women has such a long and honorable tradition throughout history. It is too bad more people can't appreciate it.

Personally I have always thought that Gackt has the most beautiful face. His eyes and his mouth do something to change his looks as he wishes them to be. Yes he can look amazing as a feminine creature but he also is totally masculine in some of the variety shows he did in the past.
Whe he played a small role as a crazy murderer in 'Mr.Brain' he was clad in white overalls and you saw just his face. Very pale and untidy hair..but you remembered the way he looked. Very impressive personal aura.
Also when he sings with the group he is much too powerful to send anything but strong masculine vibes.
