I just saw a lot of ayu's last year nov-dec performances....
ntv's best choice, kouhaku, ms superlive, fns.....
OMG, same song by same artist......

I like Ayu in terms of her music, don't really know what she is really like in reality. I'm sure she is a nice person, then again, a lot of the rumours out there about Ayumi are totally absurd and outrageous. Some are just really bad, they aren't even remotely worth discussing in terms of validness.....


She's not my #1 favourite J-pop singer but she's still up there with the likes of Utada Hikaru and such. She is very influential in the fact that she is the very first J-pop artist that I've ever gotten into. Her recent works are still decent, despite the fact that I don't like them as much as some of her works from the later 90's.


Evolution will always have a place in my heart.

Well, all things considered for a woman, and as much music as she's released in the position she's in, Ayu is ancient in the Jpop industry... and keep in mind, she already has had 6 studio album releases... not counting re-hashings.


So, for many fans of the genre... in all their youth, she can definitely be considered an "old singer" just like Namie is.

I was a HUGE Ayu fan for the better part of the last 5 years, but I am not very enthused by her recent work, nor the direction her image is leading... but she's got to do what she feels is necessary, and that's all I have to say about that.

My mistake. Still, in the J-pop world, Ayu is considered pretty old. Most artists are younger than the age of say, 21 or 22 in terms of female groups or artists. I think she debuted in like 1997 right? A lot of female J-pop singers are quite young, some now even start at the ripe age of like 13 or 14 at the time of their first debut.


Yeah, most of my favourite Ayu songs come from the time of "Evolution".

I haven't been keeping up with Ayu lately. I was kinda disappointed in Memorial Address. I was just bored with it, I guess I could say. I'm hoping she'll release a little more slowly and take time to come out with something to wow me and win me back again
