It's just that sometimes people go too far with rumors and can hurt other people's feelings and such. Well, anyways, dont want to talk about this much...

No I understand. She is CONSTANTLY under a lot of pressure and sometimes is very vocal about what she wants and WHEN she wants it. It comes with being the most idolized woman in all of Asia...

Ayu will always have a place in my heart (*snicker*) for all the entertaining and musical moments she's given me.

Drunk Drunk Drunk

btw... if you're ever in Tokyo, you may want to hit a few of the restaurants near the Jazz clubs... I hear she frequents a few on the weekends. hehe

I wish she would have held her release 3 weeks back though, so then she could compete with Hikki! Now that would have been a battle to watch on Oricon hehe hehe

man.. I dunno how much time Ayu has on top really. I can see some major burnout the way she's going.... maybe it's just me.

That's cause AVEX is trying to milk her for money! Then again I can see why they would want to. She had a horrible 2003, well not horrible but bad for her though. But the economy sucks too. Maybe she'll bounce back this year but it's still hard to name another female artist who had a better 2003 minus I wish and Shibasaki Kou.

yeah totally. I dunno.. I think her sound needs to change a bit. I wasn't too fond of her last studio release... nor the way it was promoted.

And yes.... the economy is REALLY bad in Japan right now.

something's gotta give.

Yea, her music goes through phases or something. I liked her when she was doing the rockish up in your face thing with "Evolution". That was really good! I liked "Dearest" but since then a lot of her work went down hill. "Moments" I like though, maybe since I've been yearning for a good single by her for ages, lol.

Well how much more can the recession get? Err better not jinx it Sweat

I agree. I love Evolution... but I still cannot see her topping her "rise" to success like... LOVEppears and the period surrounding it. Some of those moments were some of the most fantastic I've seen in pop music. Her performance of LOVE Destiny from Christmas '99 gave me goosebumps...

when she rose to superstardom... she SKYrocketed... and here was this little woman... turning herself into a DIVA. It was incredible watching her climb. Now... I don't see that same drive in her music... but she keeps putting stuff out there boomboomboomboomboomboom. It's really getting a bit... um.... predictable. Sad

ditto. The ceiling has to come in some where huh? Bleah

So who is going to take over the reigns as queen. The mose apparent successor is Hikki but for some reason I just don't get the same feeling of wanting to be the best from Hikki.

Ayu is still on top now... no doubt there.

but you've got girls like Koda Kumi who are looking pretty good right now. Smile

If I were a producer... I mean... a REAL producer, I'd throw everything at her.... seriously.

Yea she had a nice break out single with 1000. Voice ain't too bad either. My pick for breakout artist of 2004 was Aya earlier in the year hehe hehe

Not there yet but acting might be more of her thing. Ever heard of Hirahara Ayaka and Otsuka Ai? Right now I'm in a bind on who to choose for my Best New Artist award, but that isn't due til Dec Sweat

I know of Ai Otsuka... Ayaka, I hadn't paid much attention to.

Aya is AWESOME. I consider her the princess of Jpop because she really hasn't broken into "the adult world" yet IMO (although this is more semantics than anything, lol)

Aya does things that most jpop girls do not do... SING and DANCE simutaneously.

and no I'm not talking about that Amuro rap-tap-and-turn... I mean SING and DANCE. lol

"The Last Night" is AWESOME.

Hahaha, I was actually talking about my Aya-chan (Ueto) hehe hehe

But I do like Aya Matsuura too! She is awesome!!! Totally understand you on that sing and dance thing. A lot more artist are learning now though. Of course there is BoA and I think Akina got some moves too, but if an artist can add dance to their repitoire then that is a huge upgrade. Mo-musu does some cool dancing too Lovey Eyes Lovey Eyes

that may be the current Amuro, but have you seen her old performances and concerts?? she sings and dances her ass off! so much to the point that she soaked in sweat. Beaten
back in the day amuro was the britney spears of jpop. (although britney can't sing and lip syncs a lot)

Can you celebrate!!! Love that song. On a personal note Amuro was the one who brought me into JPop so I can never hate her Mr Green I wish she never got married though. Her career would have been so much more
