that may be the current Amuro, but have you seen her old performances and concerts?? she sings and dances her ass off! so much to the point that she soaked in sweat.
back in the day amuro was the britney spears of jpop. (although britney can't sing and lip syncs a lot) |
I remember those "OLD" performances... but I was really never impressed with the notes Amuro was pitching out because she was doing too much.
and as I alluded to... this the now I'm talking about the now and Aya is one of the only ones out there doing it.
as far as Britney goes... well... I'll leave my 4-letter words to myself. _________________

Can you celebrate!!! Love that song. On a personal note Amuro was the one who brought me into JPop so I can never hate her I wish she never got married though. Her career would have been so much more |
well.. if she hadn't gotten divorced, things wouldn'tve been so dark for her future.
The Japanese media is so very.... ack... tough on what's visible, especially in relation to women.
I don't want to get into cultural politics but it's still a major problem.
but don't get me wrong... I love Amuro too ! _________________

yah i dont think her vocal talents are spectacular or anything, but most female jpop singers aren't impressive either (like morning musume- although i like maki goto only).
dancing is still a staple for Amuro, its pretty evident in her current music videos.
but lets talk about Ayumi, since this is the Ayumi thread. have you guys seen her dance in "real me??"
she tried atleast.. it was cute trying to see her dance for once. _________________

Hahaha, I was actually talking about my Aya-chan (Ueto)
But I do like Aya Matsuura too! She is awesome!!! Totally understand you on that sing and dance thing. A lot more artist are learning now though. Of course there is BoA and I think Akina got some moves too, but if an artist can add dance to their repitoire then that is a huge upgrade. Mo-musu does some cool dancing too |
whoa... I missed that. lol gomen nasai!! _________________

I love the idea of Morning Musume/H!P (duh. avatar/sig) It's easier to appreciate their performances when they have 50 million other things behind them. H!P is like a full entertainment variety group. There are a few vocal standouts... and some that are told NOT to standout.
---
It was cute watching Ayu dance, I agree. Because for so long... she pointed, shook her head... raised her arms and SCREAMED.
yeah... I don't think she enjoys that at all though, so I doubt we'll see much more of that in the future. _________________

Go Hello Project!!!
I have some friends on another forum that want to go to the Mo-musu concert. The last one for Ai and Nacci. They even have a donation box in their sigs to raise money to fulfill their dreams

I doubt I could turn my back on all of them. Some of them I am not a big fan of... but some of them, I have a hard time thinking I would stop supporting. _________________

its just ridiculous how Tsunku added so many girls...it wasn't even funny anymore.
i still support maki goto, and that older one (forgot her name), but she has a role in Gokusen with Nakama Yukie. she's actually funny in the role. In the drama, they mention something about morning musume as a pun since the older sempai mo-musu is in it.
I've only watched 3 episodes so far, but they might include more. _________________

Yea I love Maki too! My favorite member when she was still in the group
I wish she did some more R&B songs though but I think she's really pretty regardless of what my friend says.
As for the other members I don't care for all of them, just some. I really like Rika since she's cute! Kaori I respect since she's been in the group for a very long time. I hated Kei when she was still in the group since I thought she was obnoxious. Nacchi (Natsumi Abe) I absolutely love! Also her sister Asami but I think she's under a different record label or something. The Abe family is quite talented, lol. Oh and I love Ai T also! She's so cute!!! I kind of view her as the next girl in the middle for the group. Everyone else I'm not too familar with. Oh Ai and Nacci are pretty funny sometimes too but I'm more into the older ones
